What Guests Say About Their Stay

Car parking was awkward with building support pillars placed randomly, I suppose it takes sometime to get used to navigating these hazards. Looking at the scrape marks, it would appear they have often been contacted by vehicles. Anyway it is what it is much care need to be taken by newcomers.

The room was very spacious with two double beds, a balcony, a large bathroom and plenty of storage/closet space. The large flatscreen TV was great and I could use the smart features to cast my shows from my tablet. Had a great nights sleep - would recommend this hotel to any travellers in Brisbane.

Checkin was great - lady was very helpful and took credit card for paying parking, after departure phone call received that credit card declined - they asked me to read out the numbers, while I was in the middle of supermarket. Asked for a link to pay it. No link received. Emailed in to ask for it and link received and bill paid. Then they decided to try my credit card 10 more times, 4 more emails to demand payment for parking. Eventually threatened them with legal action if they persisted in demanding payment after I had paid. The incompetence of the back office staff is legendary and reinforces my dislike of Mercure!

Hotel was cleanish. There were weird black marks on the shower floor but since we’re only there for two nights, it didn’t seem worthwhile to make an issue of it. Staff seemed unavailable when we checked in and it seemed like we were an inconvenience. Parking is a night mare!! 25$ a day for a parking garage that has been pillars EVERYWHERE! You neeed to be so careful because it feels like you’re going to hit every curb.

Decent gym and pool, good location, very friendly staff, room was comfy, and they have a restaurant on site which can be helpful. They offer parking on a first come first serve basis. My primary complaint was the very loud construction right outside my window (starting at 645 a.m.) ..But obviously wont last forever.

Paid for buffet breakfast for the family - not cheap. Went down and it was setup on folding tables in the small entrance next to the reception desk. Everything was cold, looked dodgy and tasted worse. I even think the staff were embarrassed by it all.
