Very comfortable room, with double bed, lots of pillows and nice sheets. Shared facilities were nice too: clean and stylish. Area is leafy and walkable, with interesting Art Deco architecture. Lots of different dining options. My room was on the top floor, with a narrow set of stairs, which may pose an issue for people with additional access needs.

The property has an excellent location, about a 10 min walk from the train station, and on a bus route, surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, and the rooms have the key amenities that you may need. My room was certainly small, but I was aware of that when booking, and it's reflected in the room rates, which represent very good value. These are not rooms where you would really want to hang out and spend time. But if you're in town for a specific reason which means that you're going to be out and about most of the time, and only need somewhere clean, safe and comfortable to spend the night, this is a great option. The other reason for the competitive pricing is the fact that there are shared bathrooms. However, the ratio is pretty good and I only occasionally had to wait. The bathrooms are well maintained. A couple of issues that I experienced though were that 1) I found my mattress a little soft and sunken so I had some trouble sleeping the first night, but that may be a case of person preference and 2) there seemed to be a possum scurrying around in the roof, which I was also particularly aware of when not sleeping. And although it wasn't an issue for me because I was travelling light, the very tight, narrow staircases could be difficult and possibly a little dangerous for somebody to navigate with a heavy suitcase, especially if elderly.

Property location is good, within walking distance of kings-Cross, and a short walk to a good Coffee & Bakery place (The Grumpy Baker). The property is not “accessible” to people who need assistance as it has stairs, there’s 3 steps prior to entry, then 1-2 flights of stairs (depending on level you’re on.) The room we stayed in was a “Super Compact” room, had a Q.S bed , pushed hard against a wall, making getting in and out of bed difficult. There is no bathroom , other than a shared bathroom. There is a toilet, shower cubicle, and a hand basin, with paper towel. The hand basin had no hot water at all. The bathroom was however modern, and tastefully decorated. The location in hotel will dictate how much noise you hear, we were at the back of hotel and didn’t hear road noise, but did have a laneway beside us with trucks reversing up, in the early morning with beeping being annoying. Noise within the building carries easily, so expect to hear people above you moving around and floor and stairs noise also. Food options are plenty!! Unfortunately for the price I paid for 2 nights, I could have done a lot better facility wise.

Unfortunately one of the worst stays I have ever had in a hotel. I never usually never do reviews of places unless they are positive but I do feel like I need to share my experience to warn others. Firstly, the price for the rooms are so expensive for what you get. I didn't realise when I was booking their was shared bathrooms- which is completely my fault for not noticing, but for how much you pay, you're 100% better off staying somewhere for $10-$20 more with your own bathroom. I had to wait every morning and night just to use the bathroom because you share with the entire level. It was a nightmare! Also, there are no elevators. Again, super difficult if you have luggage with you. The front desk is barely attended, so we got back from a day out at 4:30pm and for some reason our cards weren't working anymore for our room? There was no one on the desk to help so we had to walk to another hotel to get someone to fix our room keys. They also had no reason as to why they suddenly stopped working. I would not stay here again, hopefully this review helps people in deciding whether to stay at this hotel, don't do it!

The hotel is a great location very close to Kings Cross station which is only 2 stops aways from the city centre. The hotel was very clean although there was an odour coming from the room but after a while you don’t notice it anymore. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout stay. The hotel was very quiet at night even though it is on the Main Street and great choice of bakeries and bars close by. Highly recommend and would stay again.

I wouldn’t stay here again. Lobby staff works part time only. There’s no kitchen or shared spaces. Rooms are small, and my room in particular did not have a sink. Shared bathroom was not an issue, and it was usually clean. There’s 1 train station nearby but not a lot of other transit options. You can find another hotel in a better location for the same price.

Good value! Great location, easy to explore the city by walking and train station close by. Clean modern rooms, would be better if the window opens to let fresh air in. Doors are heavy, you can hear other rooms closing loudly… We had late check in and never received the access email… had to call the nearby hotel with joint management to get the door code as there is no one on site in the evening or got back to our email until the next day. Would recommend for the budget :)

It was a nice place but rooms were very small, almost a bit hard to have room for all of your bags. Clean and nice toilets and showers. 17 $ discount on parking each night which is very good in Sydney. Nice touch to have the air cons going when you arrive.

I really enjoyed my stay here! This was my first time staying somewhere with shared facilities (i.e. bathroom) but it was genuinely a very comfortable stay and I found this was not an issue at all. The only negative was that I wish I knew there were so many stairs up to the room I was in, but I also knew I was booking last minute so I expected surprsies like that. Either way I will definitely stay here again no doubt in my mind.

Rooms are clean and cozy, beds are comfortable and also very clean. Although the rooms are nice, there were a few concerns. Firstly, there is no safe or anywhere to store your things and other reviews mention staff coming into their rooms (not sure how true this though). Second, the rooms are extremely loud. There is a large gap at the bottom of the doors so can hear banging of doors throughout the night. I think this could be helped with maybe a stopper on the bottom of the door or including something to put along the bottom. We travelled interstate, so had quite large suitcases and despite seeing this, the receptionist did not even open the door even after seeing us struggle to hurl them up the stairs. There was also no utensils in the room other than spoons, maybe there should be even a few forks or bigger spoons for snacks. The fridge kept things cold (reviews said otherwise) but ours at least was cold. The shared bathroom was clean and nice, but maybe a sign you could flip on the door to say it is occupied would be nice to stop people coming and trying to bang on the door whilst showering. Overall, is in a great spot that is easy to access from Sydney CBD but don’t bring too much luggage as there is no elevator or assistance from staff.
