Great stay! Staff were friendly and amazing. Excellent location downtown and walking distance to all restaurants and shops. Parking was easy and just below the hotel in the underground parking lot. Will definitely stay there again.

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, was upgraded rooms as I was checking in at no extra cost because of a system crash! The restaurant/bar in the lobby was fantastic! Highly recommend

The lobby and restaurant were nice. One guy checking in guest with a long line was annoying. The room is dated from the 90’s. It was new wallpaper to try and disguise it. White 4x4 shower tiles on a white cast iron tub, with a shower curtain. Old technology in the room. No usb or power on night stands. Clock you can’t see at night. And a 15 year old power station at the desk area. Only spot to really charge or plug in. Water is $8?? A $500 a night room and they can’t afford to update it. Shame, very disappointed. Out of my last 8 stays in Vancouver this is the most expensive and worst.

I didn’t have a nice stay at the Fairmont Waterfront due to ongoing construction noise and disturbances from housekeeping. It was a restless and uncomfortable experience.
There was no advance notice given to guests about the maintenance work — I had to call and complain after being disturbed by the noise.
In the mornings, I also heard vacuuming, knocking, and loud conversations from the housekeeping staff, which made it difficult to rest.
If you plan to stay in the hotel between 8 AM and 12 PM, I wouldn’t recommend it, as there’s a lot of noise during those hours. In my opinion, the hotel seems better suited for business travelers, although I did see many families staying there as well. Also, there are no spa facilities in the building, but there are many conference rooms available.
That being said, the hotel does offer beautiful day-to-night views, including a stunning sunset, which was the highlight of my stay.

My son who goes to UBC was not allowed to sit with us on the gold floor even though he wasn’t staying there. It was an Easter weekend and we were told we had to go sit downstairs. Lots of vacant tables. He has social anxiety and immediately Bolted from the floor Embarrassed.

My stay was great, except the housekeeping came far too early. They knocked on my door before 9am every morning. Might have been because there was no do not disturb sign to put out.

We arrived at 3 PM and the room was not ready till 4. However, Jeff rectified that and provided us with complimentary breakfast for our stay. Once in the room the washroom still had hair on the counter/ shower and the counter appeared to be not cleaned as it still had marks from bottles or some sort on the counter.
