Moxy Halifax Downtown

The staff at the Moxy is amazing! So warm and friendly, they go out of their way to make your stay feel like a home away from home. The bar service is excellent (shout out to Tricky) and there is a wide range of delicious cocktails and dining options. The rooms are very clean and minimalistic. I especially enjoy the first floor lobby area with the bar in the centre, games area, the ‘secret room’, outdoor patios, and well equipped gym. There’s often a very good vibe with live entertainment and a DJ, particularly on the weekends. I will definitely be returning to the Moxy.

Location is amazing!! Prices are very reasonable. Hotel staff are very friendly. The hotel offers a variety of games, activities, and music to enjoy. Rooms were very clean. I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved this hotel and cannot wait to stay here again. We were travelling with 2 dogs and they are so accommodating and friendly. The concept of the hotel is also unique with everything at your fingertips - games, social setting, food and drinks. Can’t wait to stay again !

Very difficult to park the car - the hotel key would not work and staff could not resolve issue. Heard screaming outside of our room at 4am - same not resolved. No shampoo or conditioner in our room.

Clean , great location, friendly staff

Design-centered design. While many of the hotel's features are certainly 'of the moment', they fail to reinforce guest experience in favor of cost savings. Some examples: - unfinished concrete box rooms are incredibly acoustically live - making jt seem like your neighbors are sharing an apartment with you. The doors connecting the rooms don't help this either. But things like carpet, insulation, and ceilings do help make rooms quieter. - hip sliding bathroom doors aren't great if you're on a trip with family - i won't go on. - end-to-end bed layout make you feel like you and your entire room are sharing one bed - and then whoever is stuck against the wall has a difficult time getting out of bed as they're up against a wall. - eliminating carpets make for cold floors - eliminating closets means you have clothes and furniture (?) hanging everywhere and you share an ironing board with the entire floor (couldn't spot the iron). The fridge is just sitting orphaned in the corner. - there isn't any practical furniture in the room. - the HVAC system is quite noisy - beds really only have one pillow per person - the other is an oversized thing you need to move so you can sit sideways to watch the TV - there's a well-promoted 'secret' room in the lobby that's just locked. Overall, the hotel has the feel of a university dorm or a bar (you do check in at the bar) Maybe younger people would find it cool, but overall it's a poor choice for family travel. Lovely staff

We have stayed in many hotels all over the world, but never has any staff been so friendly and helpful as the staff at Moxy. We love this downtown hotel in Halifax!

Room was nice and clean. A bit small, weird bed orientation for viewing the tv. Bed was very hard

Good location. Friendly staff. We had never stayed at a Moxy hotel before and for us the only downside were the partial windows. Made us feel a little closed in.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The fan in the room was loud at times but the overall stay was great

Kind staff, rooms were cool, lobby was a great space to hang out in. Close to everything downtown, will definitely be coming back.

Fun and funky hotel with a great atmosphere and excellent staff. The rooms are spotless and comfortable with very satisfying amenities. The restaurant and bar well exceeded expectations with delicious food and tasty cocktails. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

The room was adequate and the staff were nice but the cards to enter the room worked when they wanted to . The elevator was very busy so I decided to take the stairs and got locked out . The teaser on the door would not work and as a result was stuck in the stairwell for 20 minutes . I called the front desk and they could not hear me . Luckily another guest used the stairs and had the same luck as I and he was able to text his wife to come and get us out . Little anxiety
