Sonesta ES Suites Toronto Markham

The first room I stayed in had the fridge flood so I was moved to another room. The second room had multiple BLOOD stains on the bed sheets and a toe nail in the tub. The bathroom also had black hair everywhere (I am a blonde). I had to move twice. I did receive a bigger room the SECOND time I was moved but this really disrupted my stay. I also received a lot of attitude by the manager that was on in the evening. "I should be happy that I received a room upgrade". Having a blood stains on the bed and a toenail/hair in the bathroom is absolutely disgusting and unhygienic. Having to re-locate your belongings twice on new year's eve is also incredibly inconvenient and stressful. I would never stay here again.

Motel standard, A far cry from the original Staybridge Suite .

Room was clean. I had a problem with ny room on a flirts day ,heating was making noise, i was moved to another room and had no problem. Room was clean and comfortable. Kitchen can be useful for some people, there is a big fridge but kitchen fun above the stove doesn’t work that great. ( both rooms)Breakfast was good addition to my stay. Stuff is very friendly. I will definitely recommend this hotel. It wasn’t my first visit to this hotel.

Overall, we had an amazing stay. The property is new and very clean. The staff were extra friendly. The breakfast is good but can be improved.

The hotel has a lot of potential but for now it’s more like a cheap motel in dire need of good maintenance. The nice pictures of the lobby don’t really coincide with reality. When you arrive the check in desk is the only one that has light everything else is dark. I asked how come the lights were off and they said it is breakfast areas. I did not feel safe walking into a half dark hotel but I would close my eyes and move on if it wouldn’t be for the bathroom conditions. Bathtub had red biofilm and spots of black mold, needs good cleaning, sealant and quality control.

Stay was fine. Room was nice. Sadly things took a turn when the wallet (yes, my fault) that I know was left behind in my room was not turned in by housekeeping staff. Sadly that put a major damper on the stay

Very disappointing stay Unfortunately, our recent stay at Sonesta ES Suites Toronto Markham was extremely disappointing due to multiple issues. Upon arrival, our key card did not work, and I had to return to the front desk twice. Eventually, a staff member had to come upstairs to resolve it. When we finally entered the room, we noticed the refrigerator was leaking water. The most serious issue occurred overnight. After sleeping in the room, I woke up with numerous bite marks on my body (legs, back, shoulders, and arms). Nothing in my routine, food, or activities had changed, and I have never experienced allergic reactions before. I also took photos documenting this. We contacted the front desk immediately, as we were very concerned about possible bedbugs. After this, we were moved to a different room. Unfortunately, problems continued. The phone in the room was not working, the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable, and the stovetop stopped working unexpectedly. When I asked if the bedding could be changed earlier in our stay, I was told housekeeping would not change sheets unless guests stayed five nights, even though our stay was several nights long. This was surprising and not something I’ve experienced at other hotels. Additionally, parking was charged at $5 per night, totaling $30 for our stay, which was unexpected. I have stayed at many hotels across the GTA (including Toronto, Niagara, Vaughan, Scarborough, and Mississauga) and have never been charged for parking before

All was good!

This hotel needs maintenance staff. During our recent stay the fridge freezer made a honking noise, we had to unplug it. We had a double room. Only one of the 3 televisions worked. The water came out of the back of the showerhead and several lightbulbs needed replacing.

Spacious Room! Nice Staff, free breakfast buffet not the best but good enough. I will come back.

Ok but a little old

Great stay for families. Loved the layout and comfort of the rooms. My family and I will be back for sure.

Clean room, amenities

When I come to Toronto, I usually book this hotel because it’s a pet friendly hotel. Their rooms are in suite set so my dogs can have bigger spaces to walk around rather than regular hotels.

Did not eat breakfast but was well equipped kitchen to cook

They ask $5 for parking . Too greedy
