Great stay

We had a great stay! The room was always clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the breakfast is a bit simple with no hot food. We had a fantastic stay otherwise! I also like how close you are to different tube stations and the neighborhood is so charming.

Small, cosy room on the lower ground floor. The double bed is a small double bed. Reception and bar staff were professional and friendly and everything was spotless. Great location too.

Lovely room, helpful staff

I can’t believe how uncomfortable my stay was. It was 5 degrees outside in November, yet my room felt like it was in the middle of summer. And the worst part? There was no actual thermostat. Just an old, outdated control unit that didn’t do anything. Huge red flag. I tried everything, opening the windows, fiddling with the old panel— but the room stayed insanely hot. Sleeping was nearly impossible. This was a really disappointing experience, and until they update their HVAC system so guests can control their own room temperature, I definitely won’t be back.

The place was lovely! The staff was friendly and helpful. My room had everything I needed from an electric tea kettle to a Nespresso and perfect little cookies to comfort my tummy. AND the bed was comfortable!

This Hotel was in a great location to the Tube and it was also very walkable through Kensington Park. The room was very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was very good. We had a daily cleaning service for our room. I would highly recommend The Phoenix Hotel for a stay in London.

Nice clean hotel with breakfast included. Room is a little small, but It was the ideal location for my current trip, would definitely stay there again

Reception entrance is very modern and stylish. My room was ok but very hot and humid in the evening. I had a fan but it wasn’t working properly so they replaced it with an old school van and it was a lot better. The lift was very slow and took too long to come. Breakfast options were ok, could be better. Was abit of a pain to get an uber to my locations, but I suppose that was because it was during the carnival period.

I don't often leave negative reviews but unfortunately this was one of the poorest hotel experiences I've had in some time. First, our room on the second floor was exceedingly and uncomfortably hot. Despite the fact that the temperature outside in the city was actually pleasantly cool for most of our stay, the room itself, with no AC, windows that only opened about 2 inches and only a very basic fan provided, was very hot. There was also no fridge in the room, so not even the possibility of storing some bottles of water at a cold temperature. In fairness, the hotel does not advertise that it has AC, and we should have probably checked before booking, but it also should not have been necessary in relation to the weather outside. Notably, the ground floor and reception areas appear to have AC, but not the rooms. The water also had a strange quality whereby soap would never completely rince out, which was really unpleasant. The wifi also kept disconnecting, such that you had to reconnect every day in order not to accidentally use all your data. When it did work it was decent though. Location was convenient and quiet. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. Staff were not particularly warm and approable, but did offer helpful assistance when asked. All in all, okay stay, but uncomfortable for the price paid. We were relieved to be going home when we left!

This hotel has no A/C so the room can be brutal in the summer. The room itself was 35c+ making it very hard to sleep. There was only one small fan to help. I would go outside to cool down. This hotel is in good location so may be worthwhile outside of summer time, but would not advise booking in summer. The breakfast is basic but fine and the staff was very kind.
