After arrival we decided to have a meal in the Bar, waited about 15 minutes to order although not busy. When the food arrived chips were not cooked and salad had dressing on that wasn’t mentioned. Food was changed but had to wait a while. Breakfast was ok, although busy.

Arrived at the hotel on first impression the hotel looked nice. We checked In to be told there’s an additional charge to use the facilities after paying nearly £200 for the room. Our room was on the first floor but had to walk through corridor after corridor which felt never ending. We entered the room to find it completely run down in desperate need of a maintenance and a fresh lick of paint was in desperate need. The bathrooms are extremely old fashioned and again in desperate need of repair. The bed was tiny and the sofa bed was dirty and uncomfortable. We went to reception to ask to move to another room they advised there was non available and unable to help they didn’t seem to bothered when we said we wouldn’t be staying the night an would find other accommodation. I then asked for a Refund but was told to contact bookings. Com as they couldn’t offer a refund. Just throughly disappointing in the whole experience we won’t be returning.

The staff were really helpful. I was placed near the stairs and much later on in the night, it was really noisy and the doors banged loudly. I had already have my review stating it was quite which was incorrect. I think having to pay £10 to use the amenities was a bit too much. I didn't get to do much as we had a busy schedule. The conference rooms need an upgrade as it was dated, the windows were rotting and there was a very misty smell. Overall it was nice and it helped that the majority of the staffs were really friendly and helpful.

Had an adequate but underwhelming stay here over the bank holiday weekend. 3 weddings in 2 days made for a busy hotel. Rooms in need of some TLC. The cleaner hadn’t cleaned the toilet properly before we checked in & we were met by someone else’s poo stains. Took 45 mins for room service to bring us some ice. Food in restaurant was mixed - risotto was amazing, burger very basic - and service was slow. Bar area looks into the area where the weddings are held, so no nice relaxing views. Nothing luxurious about this hotel. Won’t be back.

We were very impressed from the outset. Speedy check in, huge room with 6ft bed, big bathroom with bath and separate shower and nice towels. The pool and spa are a good size with very friendly, helpful staff. We slept well. There was a wide selection of food at the breakfast buffet but the most outstanding thing was the temperature of the food. I have never had such piping hot food at a breakfast buffet anywhere in the world! It was tasty, frequently replenished and supervised by staff. We even got fresh, hot croissants. Lovely. We would return as it was excellent value for money and a very comfortable, enjoyable stay.

The building is like a maze, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. There was both heating and air conditioning as well as a window which could be opened. Breakfast on the Saturday was terrible, I was so disappointed and had to go elsewhere to eat. But the Sunday it was lovely so perhaps they were having an off day although it does make it expensive to have to pay again for breakfast. 100% recommend the breakfast on Sunday and the staff both days were really nice. I had lunch with my friend in the bar Saturday afternoon. She said her pasta was really good, my steak & chips were not great, I have had better at weatherspoons for 1/3 of the price. I was really surprised that I had to pay an additional £10 to use the pool, sauna and steam, I chose the hotel and spent more because it had those facilities, a bit of a con really, I have never had anything like this before. They had lots of parking spaces and the hotel was near the centre of town. Overall I was happy with the hotel, I felt safe and secure - something that is important to me.

Stayed here for one night with family. Overall a lovely place, but a few minor issues. There is an extra charge for swimming facilities unless you book directly. At £10 per person, including children over 6, this proved expensive for a half hour swim to entertain the children. The pool was also too cold to take our 7 month old in for very long. We had a junior suite, which provided ample space for myself and 2 children. Unfortunately there was no cot available when asked at check-in. The receptionist mentioned another family had already asked and she was trying to source one for them so seems like they don't have a great supply of these. The restaurant was pretty good, nice food and reasonable prices, but a little slow on service and only opened at 6pm so we were there quite late with small children. They also had 4 EV charging spaces, which were all available when we stayed.
