Hotel Vík í Mýrdal

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, great rooms with comfortable beds, very clean and quite, professional and very courteous staff. Fair warning, the blankets are very hot, you may want to keep the window open for the night in summer.

I really liked this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights with our toddler, everything was very nice. Good breakfast. Perfect location, complimentary parking. Very clean and great staff. I really recommend this hotel.

What a lovely stay we had! The family room was perfect for our family of 4 and we had the best breakfast of our whole trip, which was included in the stay. Highly recommend!

It was a delightful surprise to see nesting kittiwakes on hillside opposite our room window. Dinners and breakfasts were delicious. Staff was very courteous & helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Vík í Mýrdal. The hotel itself is beautiful—modern, clean, and tastefully designed, with incredible views of the surrounding landscape. The staff were especially welcoming and kind, making us feel right at home from the moment we checked in. One challenge we encountered was finding the entrance to the hotel. Our car’s GPS didn’t recognize the exact street or route, and there was limited signage to guide us in. After a bit of trial and error, we were able to locate it, but clearer directions or updated mapping info would be helpful for future guests. Aside from that small hiccup, everything else about the stay was excellent. We’d definitely return and recommend it to others visiting Vík!

Loved our stay in this hotel in Vik. Walkable to the beach

The breakfasts were superb. You could walk to resturants in the area or stay and eat at the hotel. Plenty of space to meet people in the evening to talk or play games.

Modern hotel, comfortable room. In centre of Vik, close to a few shops, cafes & a pub. Good breakfast, pleasant dining room. Didn’t try the restaurant. I think some of the negative reviews were concerned with the older separate part of the hotel which looks like it’s currently undergoing renovation.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. They were able to help give us a wake up call for the northern lights and gave us tips on how we can see it better for the next nights. Breakfast was great! Room was spacious and comfortable.
