In peak winter when it's about 0 or - degrees, the AC/heating in the room need to be kept on like 28 degrees for the temperature in the room to be nice, especially at night. Or ask for another duvet. Depends on each person's tolerance for heat and cold though I guess.

Lovely decor but bed was very noisy and very close to the entry door to the room. Hotel layout is disjointed compared to other Hoxton’s which makes it feel more private but takes away that typical buzz

We had a wonderful stay at The Hoxton Florence. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was spotless and beautifully designed. We booked a room with a terrace and an outdoor tub. While we didn’t use the tub since it was winter, we absolutely loved spending time on the terrace. December weather in Florence was gorgeous, lots of sun and comfortable with just a light jacket during the day. The view from the terrace isn’t much to write home about since the walls are quite high, so you mostly see the sky (and a few construction cranes), but it still felt peaceful and private. Breakfast was excellent and well worth paying extra for. We wanted to avoid the hassle of finding a breakfast spot each morning, and this made things easy. They offer a buffet, but you can also order hot plates like avocado toast, eggs, bacon, and more—everything we tried was delicious. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and gave great recommendations. We didn’t use public transportation at all and walked everywhere. The location is great if you don’t mind a 15–30 minute walk, which honestly is part of the magic of Florence—you’ll stumble upon hidden gems along the way. The only downside: when you flush the toilet, it tends to splash upward, so definitely close the lid before flushing. Overall, a lovely stay and a hotel we’d happily return to.

Decent hotel with beautiful interior and friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel. New and loved my terrace room. Even in the winter. The grounds must be absolutely gorgeous in full bloom in the summer. Can’t wait to go back. The hotel has more outdoor lounging space than indoor.

Nicely designed but amenities do not match

The staff were very attentive. The hotel is located at a quiet street which I like, quiet but not like in a dark alley or on a scary street. It is a safe neighbourhood and there is bus stop and tram stop nearby.The room and bathroom were spacious compared to most hotels I have stayed in Europe

The staff was excellent and very quick and efficient in helping us arrange a taxi. The room upgrade was a special touch and greatly appreciated. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and quiet. The only small note I would mention is that the sleeping pillows felt a bit lightweight and could use a little improvement. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The staff were amazing, super attentive! Catarina was exceptional her attention to detail, super informative and her customer service skills was on point ! Great hotel, super clean, food is great and good walking distance to the duomo and other sight seeing options.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, I did not receive the room I booked — I had reserved a balcony room, but was instead given a ground-floor room. The reception staff were not very friendly or welcoming, especially in comparison to the team at The Hoxton in Rome, who were professional, warm, and incredibly helpful. The room itself was disappointing: it felt dusty, the floor didn’t seem to have been properly cleaned, and there was a spider web on the ceiling. On my last night, I even found a spider on my bed. Overall, I couldn’t wait to check out. The only positive was the location, which was about a 25-minute walk to the main square. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again.

Great staff, wonderfully appointed and great area outside the hustle but still filled with great spots to eat and drink. The area also seems to attract local students and that keeps it young and vibrant.
