I recently stayed at Nikko Style. Check-in was smooth, as an English-speaking staff member was available. The room was spacious, the TV was easy to connect to my laptop, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a slight moldy smell, but I relaxed in the tub, which was quite deep and low (Western-style), for longer than planned because it was so nice. I slept very well. It was quiet and peaceful. The entire hotel is non-smoking, which is perfect. The breakfast buffet is somewhat unique. You choose a main entrée, and the other items are supplementary. I found the food very well presented and delicious. I wanted a luxurious experience at a reasonable price, and I felt I achieved it here!

The room was the largest room we've ever stayed in Japan. It was so spacious that it included a couch. They had a few nice touches that make a difference when compared to other hotels in Japan: modern and seemingly recently built/refurbished(?); outlets and lights on both sides of the bed; a quality bluetooth speaker to stream my music; two luggage stands; a sink outside of the toilet and shower but can be enclosed from the bedroom with a sliding wood panel. The breakfast buffer was pretty good as I selected a fish entree (super fresh!). Just a short walk from Nagoya station. Make sure you google for Hitsumabushi (grilled eel, $$), Terasaki (fried chicken wings $), Miso Katsu ($), and Pyorin sweets (in Nagoya station), among other foods, as these are pretty much only in Nagoya. All yummy!

Absolutely phenomenal stay, room was stylish, comfortable, and meticulously clean. Amenities offered were expansive and a great aid to relaxation! (I stayed on the Deluxe+ Floor and highly recommend the upgrade it was well worth it!) I had enjoyed a long day exploring Nagoya and doing a ton of walking, having a soak in the bathtub with the special provided bath salts and bomb, followed by a skin care routine and face mask with provided amenities, and the foot patches and eye mask were all wonderful luxuries for me! I borrowed the professional coffee pour over kit and bought some of the special blend coffee from the cafe so that in the morning I could take advantage of the later check out time and enjoy a pour over before and after breakfast while watching the great view from the window. I cannot recommend this stay enough, I normally hate staying more than a 10 minute walk from the station since I’m disabled and use a walking aide, but this hotel is well worth it and I will absolutely be back!!
