Hotel is only a couple minutes walking distance away from C6 exit for the Ikebukuro rail / subway station and Tobu department store. Seibu, Parco and Bic Camera are on the other side (east) of the Ikebukuro station. One Family Mart and a 7-11 are nearby for anyone needing a quick bite - sandwiches, soft-boiled eggs and ice cream. Rooms are reasonably spacious and clean. Limited housekeeping means staffs only enter room to empty trash and replace towels if guest posts sign on the door before 11am. They do not make beds. Ikebukuro station has a large underground interconnect, great for rainy days. It can feel busy and a little chaotic during commute hours, but being only one stop away from Shinjuku on two JR East lines, a good alternative if one finds Shinjuku too expensive to stay but still wants the conveniences.

The location was convenient as it was close to a station exit. What particularly stood out was the hospitality of the staff. No matter the time of day the staff were available to assist and with a positive attitude. On our check out day we were permitted to leave our bags at the hotel and relax in the lobby area until we caught the shuttle bus to the airport.

This stay was quite nice, the bed was somewhat comfortable, the room was maintained well and there was enough room. It’s a big plus the black out blinds really made it dark to have a great sleep. My only gripe is that they should have made it clear that there is no cleaning of the room and it’s a paid service. There was two options that costed two different amounts. Never seen that before at a hotel so it was super disappointing. I guess times are tough, I also paid ¥2000 to check in 1.5 hours early regardless since the room was available.

I loved that the room I booked included a washer/dryer. My only complaint was that the air conditioner smelled mildewy/moldy so we did not use it at all. Thankfully we could open the window so that helped with the temperature in the room. Otherwise everything else was great.

The room was pretty small. You had to step up to the bathroom and the washer/dryer. There's a microwave, sink, dishes and utensils in the room. The area was not very welcoming though. The taxi we had said it was not easy to get to. There's a lot of bars around in the area and a couple of restaurants. I wouldn't want to be there late at night alone. No shopping at all. Hotel had free items like brushes, toothbrushes, etc in the lobby. They had free water bottles and water. Coffee was there but not available after 5pm. We stayed at their Shibuya hotel and the location was more convenient in terms of shops and location to a subway.

A nice cozy hotel with excellent staff. The two front clerks whom I spoke to were fluent in English and were very friendly and professional. I made a huge mistake in my reservation, and Mr. Okamoto was very helpful and understanding in resolving my problem. He reassured me that everything is taken care of, which was confirmed by an email minutes later. I can't thank him enough! The hotel itself had numerous amenities, including a washing machine right in the room! The property is very secure with the front doors locking after 12am, which visitors then will need to be buzzed in after hours. The elevators are also card-activated, so not just anyone can go to the rooms. I highly recommend this place!
