Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Hotel was good - room was large and comfortable and the hotels location was great. The view from the pool area was fantastic - but also to be honest, a little odd. You can use the pool until 7pm when it turns into a bar but what we didn’t realise is the bar is open all day and to non hotel guests. I thought it would have more of a health club vibe in the day with areas to relax - but the bar cushions etc where still on chairs which made it difficult to find anywhere to sit when you’re wet but also non hotel guests are there to use the bar, eats lunch and take selfies of themselves with the view which made me feel very self conscious and it wasn’t a relaxing vibe with the music etc - that was a shame

The hotel is dated but clean. The club lounge is oversubscribed and cannot handle the number of guests using it - simple things like wine and water glasses aren't available at peak times. The twin towers view from the club bedrooms is however unbeatable.

The entire stay was amazing with spotless room, super helpful staff and amazing view if you live in a club room. Best location as well, will def return in the future.

My email enquiries were always promptly replied prior to my arrival. The check-in service at the club lounge was courteous, but I had to wait about 1.5 hours for the housekeeper to clear the booked club room. The room was very clean, and had a clear and direct view of Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park. I like the buggy ride provided between the hotel and Suria KLCC, it saved me a lot of time. Checking out was very smooth, and the doorman kept a lookout for my e-hailing car. The stay made my New Year very special.

Room wasn’t ready when we first arrived, which is a dent to our experience but still alright. Went to the sky bar and was asked to pay out of the blue as our deposit wasn’t registered in the system. Went down to check at the lobby and was informed that there was an accident while checking in which resulted in this inconvenience. Tried booking the spa, no receptionist was present after few tries. Tried booking online and there was no confirmation or response. Went to the lobby to check and was told they couldn’t confirm a booking. Received an email that booking isn’t confirmed on the day of the supposed spa booking. My wife went to lunch again at the Sky Bar and was told to pay right away after placing her order despite the earlier deposit (again). Left us feeling disrespected as though we couldn’t pay or is planning to flee the hotel without paying. When asked for a review via WhatsApp, communicated these bad experiences and was offered complimentary breakfast and a visit to their lounge at no charge as a form of service recovery. The first guest experience here is bad and not what we expected from the Shangri-la line of hotels. We acknowledge the service recovery attempt though but we were out for the day and did not take them up ultimately.

Check in was available ahead of time. Staff made everything possible to please their guests.

Excellent modern premium hotel, well located with great views of the Petronas Towers, nice pool on the 33rd floor also with good views.

Staff we're nice, room was clean, staff was very helpful. Wonderful stay and always our first choice for this period.

Nice park outside. Clean room, good location, didn’t have breakfast as hotel is walking distance to the mall.

Like the room-good shower+bathtub. Walking distance to Petrobas tower + shopping. Like Skybar + pool. Nice concierge staff.

Nice hotel

A fantastic view of the Patronas Towers and the excellent evening entertainment and food served in the Sky Bar.

Very good experience. Traders is near everything and has the buggy service to KLCC. The sky bar is on level 33 with the swimming pool, which strongly recommend to try.
