The proximity and amazing treatment of the staff makes it worth it by a mile. This is the 8th time Ive stayed here.

This hotel has a very nice pool and location. Beach had jellyfish and although they had sign up on pole they didn’t not tell guest of dangers after several people got stung. Property is old and TV did not work in room. No signal. Food by pool was poor quality and very expensive for the area. Pool staff very good with service never had to wait for a drink and didn’t bother you. Overall good stay and will come back again.

Well Maintained and staff was friendly

Gaviana is a bit old, but with many upgrades to meet the modern world and one's needs. It is perfectly located in the Golden Zone (Zona Dorada) with many restaurants, shops and entertainment just walking distance. They have their own spa, private access to the beach, buffet, pool and great ambiance.

Great location right in the best part of the Malecon. Friendly staff and great food. Been staying here for years and would not trade it for any other hotel

Great service

This used to be one of the top places along the Gold Coast but it's getting a bit shop-worn now. The elevators were wonky and it seems have been for quite some time, they just haven't bothered to fix them... Overall a great location, nice size rooms, pretty grounds.

Room was very clean housekeeping staff was amazing pool is a little outdated as it is an older hotel but very well maintained. if you are looking for a place to relax on a weekend this is not the place for you music is very loud until like 4 am as they have a club on the same premises . But if loud music doesn’t bother you then this is definitely a place to stay .

The view was amazing and the staff was very kind. However, they don’t provide much more than shampoo and moisturizing cream. Also, the spa services are much more expensive than i thought.

It’s very comfortable

We had a great overall experience at Gaviana Resort in Mazatlán. The staff truly stood out—they were more than excellent, always attentive, friendly, and willing to help with anything we needed. The property itself is clean, very accessible, and perfectly located. Being centrally situated with direct beach access, available parking, and within walking distance to the pier made everything incredibly convenient. The restaurant and bar were also highlights of our stay—beautiful setup, excellent views, and top-notch customer service. The only downside was the bathroom in our room. It felt outdated and not very well constructed. During our first two nights, the bathtub drain didn’t work properly and had to be “fixed” twice. By the third day, I requested a room change, and while the drain in the new room was better, there were still issues. The shower head sprayed water everywhere except where it should, and water leaked outside the tub due to the tile not being leveled correctly to drain inward. While this didn’t significantly affect our stay, it does seem like something the property should address, as it could lead to water damage over time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the excellent service, location, and amenities—but the bathroom conditions could definitely use improvement.

Next door music very loud couldn’t sleep

Great Place excellent staff. Only criticism is that the local bar played loud and late on weekends. Bring ear plugs.
