Perfect location in Sintra, old world charm to the entire Hotel. Staff were so friendly, the dining room was amazing and the food was to die for!! The Chef and Maître D were there to make your dining experience perfect, so nice! Would not stay anywhere else, this Hotel was perfect!

We were given a lovely upgrade to a suite with a very nice view. The bathroom however should undergo some renovation and I was cold. A warm duvet on the bed would have been nicer than just a thin blanket. But the. Again it was unusually cold and wet outside

This is NOT a 5-star hotel. Expedia is misrepresenting this hotel and overcharging what it should be. It’s barely a 3-star.
Mosquitoes as big as your thumb. Mold on bathroom. Furniture and bedding like it’s from someone’s grandparents house. And the smell too. Bathroom sink is cracked. Lighting didn’t work.
Gross. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Lawrence's Hotel is a charming historic hotel that was a delight to stay in. It is just a few minutes walk from the Sintra National Palace and from cute shops and good restaurants. It is also close to the bus stop for transport to the other Sintra castles. The hotel itself is lovely - our room had a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and towns and was very nicely decorated. There are cozy sitting rooms in the hotel for relaxation or conversation. The restaurant served delicious food (we ate both dinner and breakfast there and very much enjoyed both). I would be very happy to stay here again.

We could not have picked a better hotel from which to explore the idyllic area in and around Sintra. The hotel simply oozes charm, thanks to its venerable age and the high quality of its staff. Staying here is like staying in a hotel from a bygone age. The included breakfast was delicious and abundant. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here and could have easily stayed longer. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again should we return to the area.

In the fairytale town of Sintra, surrounded by palaces and castles on all its many peaks, the Lawrence’s Hotel is the best place to rest and recuperate after a day of touring. Their restaurant serves 5-star meals and the charming little bar and full service spa are available to guests and other travelers.

This was a wonderful hotel. Great staff, big room and space throughout the hotel to read or hang out. The restaurant was really good, and breakfast was impressive. They even provided gluten free bread when I requested it🙂
