The customer service here is great. They were responsive to all our needs. There is NO parking close to this place. If you find street parking, it is only available until 6pm. There is a garage close enough to walk, but it's not convenient with luggage. If you are taking an Uber, this shouldn't be a problem. There was no water when we were going to check in so we were offered a refund. A week later and we still haven't gotten it.

This hotel was a complete disaster. There was no running water whatsoever—no water for toilets, showers, brushing your teeth, or even washing your hands. The hotel gave us one used gallon of water, only for us to be told the next day that it was not safe to drink. We were unable to flush the toilet at all and were forced to use a toilet that already contained other guests’ waste. It was completely unsanitary and unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we decided to leave early because the hotel was uninhabitable, we requested a refund for the unused night. The hotel refused, despite being unable to provide one of the most basic necessities. Even more frustrating, the hotel next door had fully functioning running water, so this was clearly not an area-wide issue. A hotel without running water is simply not providing the service guests paid for. The lack of sanitation, the refusal to refund an unused night, and the poor handling of the situation made this one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. I would not recommend staying here.

Quick two night stay at Fortaleza Suites. Pre-arrival communication was prompt. We arrived late night and Sam was super helpful to bring luggage to second floor. We had Presidential Suite - large. Two bedrooms with queen beds and own A/C units. Last bed is up in loft / stairs are steep but loft is roomy (ceiling a bit low) Shower takes a bit to get hot water. Incredibly centrally located. Yes, can be a bit noisy down at street level but not crazy and A/C helps mitigate. Suite has full size fridge, kitchen if you opt to get supplies nearby. On-site is vending machine for waters, snacks. Would definitely stay here again.

Very cute boutique hotel located in very nice location and accessible to everything in San Juan! The only concerns was loud all night, and you can hear it from the room. Also, there is no hot water in the showers. We had a great stay.

Si te vas a hospedar en esta localidad, los ruidos de las habitaciones cercanas a la que tienes, se oyen. Por ejemplo las conversaciones. Mi habitación estaba al lado de La recepción y se escuchaba la gente hablando. Tiene excelente localización porque estas cerca de todos los sitios de comer, para caminar a museos y sitios históricos estas en el centro para el que prefieras visitar.

This place was simply incredible. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had picked something special. The location in Old San Juan is perfect, right in the middle of everything and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and historical sites, which made exploring the area so easy. [airbnb.com] We stayed in the Presidential Suite and it far exceeded our expectations. The space was huge, very clean, and had a really cool blend of historic charm with modern comfort. It felt unique and memorable, not like a typical hotel stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything about the experience felt easy and comfortable. Overall, this was one of our favorite places we stayed. If you want something with character in a perfect Old San Juan location, this is it.
