Quick two night stay at Fortaleza Suites.
Pre-arrival communication was prompt. We arrived late night and Sam was super helpful to bring luggage to second floor.
We had Presidential Suite - large. Two bedrooms with queen beds and own A/C units. Last bed is up in loft / stairs are steep but loft is roomy (ceiling a bit low)
Shower takes a bit to get hot water.
Incredibly centrally located. Yes, can be a bit noisy down at street level but not crazy and A/C helps mitigate.
Suite has full size fridge, kitchen if you opt to get supplies nearby. On-site is vending machine for waters, snacks.
Would definitely stay here again.

Very cute boutique hotel located in very nice location and accessible to everything in San Juan! The only concerns was loud all night, and you can hear it from the room. Also, there is no hot water in the showers. We had a great stay.

La recepción y se escuchaba la gente hablando.
Tiene excelente localización porque estas cerca de todos los sitios de comer, para caminar a museos y sitios históricos estas en el centro para el que prefieras visitar.

staff was very kind, hotel was beautiful & right in old san juan so perfect! had a shared kitchen/amenity area that was very clean and perfect for grabbing water & enjoying the pretty sights of the interior of the hotel!! made our last night there even more memorable, i recommend!

Since my favorite hostel in OSJ went out of business after COVID, I've been looking for the next favorite place, and I think I found it.
Beautiful place, and the staff is lovely.

This place was simply incredible. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had picked something special. The location in Old San Juan is perfect, right in the middle of everything and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and historical sites, which made exploring the area so easy. [airbnb.com]
We stayed in the Presidential Suite and it far exceeded our expectations. The space was huge, very clean, and had a really cool blend of historic charm with modern comfort. It felt unique and memorable, not like a typical hotel stay.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and everything about the experience felt easy and comfortable.
Overall, this was one of our favorite places we stayed. If you want something with character in a perfect Old San Juan location, this is it.

Great place and location in Old San Juan. Safe area and building. Charming, clean, very helpful staff. Stayed before and after cruise. Let us stow our bags before check in so we could go on an excursion. Can't wait to go again!

Such a colorful, lovely and authentic place. Its in Old San Juan and a fun, safe location. Lots of restaurants and little stores nearby. Our room was spacious. We had a large suite, clean, super cute, and everything was working (hot water, air conditioning, etc.) Staff was friendly and helpful. Stayed for one night before a cruise and one night after. No elevator for those with walking issues, but was fine for us. Close to cruise port..a short taxi drive away. Will return!
