City Hostel

APPALLING SERVICE Made an advance booking and added a note that I'm terribly scared of heights so would appreciate a bottom bunk bed. When checking in around 9am they advised they would not be able to honour the request. They gave me the key but the room was not ready until 12 and they asked me to store luggage in a separate facility. I have asked if they could approve cancellation and refund in that case and they said that they would but I need to contact the booking platform to get this through. I then was hanging on hold trying to get through to an agent who spent ages trying to get through to them and he then advised that it will take up to 4 days to complete the refund approval process and refund my money but also reassured me that since hotel verbally confirmed they would be happy to do so, I have nothing to worry about. That would about 11am (official check out deadline) so I returned to the hostel to hand in my key. The same lady at the counter then advised me that they will not approve my refund request because it's too late and 'i already took the key' I do appreciate that it was a late cancellation and that they cannot guarantee if I get upper or bottom bed (although at this point I'm certain they haven't even tried to accommodate my request). What I do not appreciate is being lied to which led me to waste 2h of my short trip to Stockholm trying to change my booking. Also, reception staffed only a few hours a day - no way to get a towel when checking in the eve

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. I liked that it is centrally located and close to the bus terminal. Will stay here again.

This hostel was nice kind of hard to find at first but overall it was a pretty good experience. The beds are very loud and noisy so watch out for that but they were clean and somewhat comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were nice and big and non mixed.

Nice and clean. The receptionist Sara was very friendly, helpful and professional. Bus stops are nearby, as well as 7/11. We like this place.

Highly safe, quiet, and clean hostel Appreciated a fully equipped kitchen with IKEA products.

Best part was the location, on the center, near everything. 10-minute walk to Central train Station. Only bad thing was the space.... tight, and the hostel wasn't that full. Breakfast was OK, but maneuvering around the small kitchen with people was a challenge.

We had a very great experience at the city hostel. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room was great and clean. Much better than expected due to the low price. We were satisfied and I would recommend it to anyone who want to stay at a great, cozy hostel in the middle of Stockholm to a very cheap price. I’ve lived at places that costed ten times more, but they had nothing on this hostel. The only con where that we didn’t had a bathroom on the room. But the shared bathrooms and showers were very clean and smelled great. Overall, the best hotel so far to the best price and service! I’ll keep this in mind.

Very good value considering it's 10 mins walk to the Central station. Rooms are basic but very comfortable bed, pillow and sheets. Note that rooms don't have a window that can be opened as the whole hostel is located in the basement. But they do provide a small fan which works and the ceilings are high with a frosted window so it's not too bad.

Great stay in a private room with an excellent communal kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of handy travel info around the hostel and a handy bus stop right outside.

Location was really good, close to the city center, close to a supermarket and right next to 7-eleven. It was also close to the airport bus stop. The interior was well set out, with a good communal area, nice kitchen, that was well maintained and had many utensils availAble for use. The bathrooms and showers were good overall, but the showers are a bit difficult to manage. Rooms were nice and people were friendly

Fun place, close to everything and nice staff

Good location, 10mins walk from central station. There is 7eleven right next to the hostel. Well equipped kitchen, spacious toilets and showers. The one thing that I didn’t like is that it is located in basement so there are only unopenable windows towards the aisle in the room. However, fortunately, the ventilation fan seems to work very well. Linens are included but you have to set it up by yourself.

Clean and organized kitchen, toilets and showers. Small room, but cosy, with TV. Close to the railstation, about 10-12 minutes. Next to the hostel is a minimarket where you can buy food.

Everything was well kept and clean with very friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint is the quality of the beds and the thin walls. You can hear every footstep and when someone closes their door. Once I adjusted to the time change it was easier to sleep through, but the first two nights were a bit rough.

This was my first hostel, and it exceeded my expectations for cleanliness and how quiet it was. The internet connection was frustrating however. It was spotty where it would be great for 10 min and then not work for 5 min. Location is great and it allowed me to stay in Stockholm for a reasonable price.

I felt like this was one of the nicer hostels that I have stayed in, including the people who were staying in it - I felt safe and comfortable. Someone pointed out to me that they felt the woman's shower was not clean b/c there was hair on the floor but otherwise, I personally felt like the areas were constantly clean. I did not use the kitchen but it was available, which is convenient when necessary. I saw many people using it in the morning. The bed had a personal electric outlet and light. There are lockers in the rooms. I found the bed itself a little bit squeaky but otherwise, I slept fine. There were also computers with free internet access and pay-for-printing services. There was another central area where some people were watching movies. When I needed to speak on the phone (using wifi connection), I had couple of options, but not a plethora. They don't have a person working the front desk 24 hours but I saw there was a nice system to pick up keys for those checking in late. I checked in and out during working hours. It was about a ten minute walk from the central station. I was contacted prior to my arrival regarding my arrival time and directions from my arrival point. Super helpful. Overall enjoyed my stay. Affordable, too.

It was a nice hostel. It's in the basement but it still okay. The location is 8-10 minutes walk from Central station and downtown.

Clean and quiet place to stay. It's your regular dorm style situation. But for the price, a good option for young travelers. Internet was spotty sometimes. Overall a good experience though
