Clean room, polite and professional service, comfortable beds and good sized/clean bathrooms. Also, the hotel location is impeccable. I'm only giving 4 stars because: 1) the pillows were somewhat thin and not very easy to sleep on, and 2) there was an unpleasant odour at the front entrance to the hotel when we arrived and it stayed there for 2 days. Not sure what was causing it but I hope the hotel management takes care of it. Otherwise, excellent stay, I would come back to this hotel any time.

The location is perfect, less than 10 minutes to train station. Closed to all attractions, shops, especially the big supermarket next door. The room is bit small with combine toilet shower, but clean and well equipped. The staff is friendly and sufficient. Enjoy the stay.

perfect stay, the middle of the old city of bern. Very nice staff. Just be sure to know that while you can unload the bags in front of the hotel, the parking is a 5 min walk. The walk is easy and you walk in the most beautiful streets in the world- when we did day trips it was an amazing walk. The hotel is right on top of the most beautiful COOP supermarket. Seriosuly the breads there are at the level of Thomas Keller bakery in Yountville(Bouchon) that we frequent a lot. Walkable to everywhere. Ask for a room facing the cathedral and city hall -we saw both from the window and it was magical. Dont miss the roof top bar - even just for the views, they have a fondue area for the winter which looks magical.

The best thing about the property is that it’s centrally located. Reception staffs were polite and helpful. The breakfast was not good with very limited options,add to it is that it was poorly staffed and very unwelcoming ones. They didn’t provide a kettle in the room citing security risk !!! Overall average, only plus was that all sights including bhan was within walkable distance.

The hotel is conveniently located near attractions and within walking distance of the train station. We used the hotel as a base to go visit other towns via train- Gruyeres and Thun. Then came back to see the sites and eat in Bern. I would recommend this hotel.

The rooms were clean but very small — you walk in and the bed is right there. Our window didn’t face the street but an inner courtyard directly across from neighbors’ windows, which made it feel closed in and lacking privacy. Check-in was slow, and breakfast was not as good as we remembered. By the time you arrive (especially after tour groups), the buffet often looks picked over. The worst part of the stay was the service at breakfast. One older blonde waitress in particular made the experience unpleasant. She loudly says “GUTEN MORGEN” at every guest as they enter, then chases after people for their room number. I understand she has to check, but her delivery is very aggressive and overwhelming for the morning. She also scolded us when we accidentally walked towards a reserved table (we simply didn’t see the sign), and when she started explaining how the breakfast worked, we told her politely that we already knew since we’d been there the day before. She seemed annoyed, and the next morning, when we came in again, she mocked us by repeating verbatim what my mom had said the day before — “but you know already because you were here yesterday.” It came across as petty and unprofessional. Between the tiny rooms, slow check-in, disappointing breakfast, and the unfriendly service, the stay was underwhelming.
