Ruby Claire Hotel Geneva

I originally had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Soundproof was not good and It doesn’t provide much and you need to pay for toothbrush and other stuff but overall it was not bad. On check out day, my flight got cancelled and I was automatically rebooked to a flight next day. The on-site staff told me I can’t extend for a night in the same room and I have to book a new room through booking platform on my own. So I went ahead with it quickly. Everything was in such a hurry and when I was booking a new room I wasn’t aware it’s non refundable. Not even an hour later, I found out I was rebooked to another flight that was leaving in 2 hours so I rushed to cancel my reservation through booking platform and asked them to reach out to the property to explain the situation hoping to get a refund or at least partial. Unfortunately the hotel said my reservation was done in “several hours before cancellation request so it can not be cancelled anymore due to reservation policies”, hence no refund. After several attempts to explain the situation, the hotel still insists on no refund and not even credit or voucher. Theoretically they did nothing wrong by sticking to their rules. But it was not flexible or accommodating at all. I urge everyone to make sure to choose the option with full refund because no matter how quickly you cancel right after or you are in any kind of urgent circumstances they won’t allow any flexibility. Unfortunately I don’t feel like staying with them ever again.

As a solo traveller, I felt safe, the room was super clean, minimalistic, staff were so helpful, Would say here, again, affordable for that area, lake just 2 mins away

I love this hotel, it’s well located, efficient and the lobby/cafe is perfect for a coffee or glass of wine. My only issue is that I often come back late from dinner and the entrance is in essentially an alley. I know Geneva is generally safe but I have to go into city mode preparing to run or defend myself as I take the last steps to the front entrance.

The hotel has an interesting set up with Reception located in the bar at the top of the building. We had a quick & seamless check in, opted for a free drink in the bar instead of room cleaning - good choice. Our visit to the rooftop bar was one of the highlights as we were served by a lovely Monika, who really looked after us! The room wasn't the biggest but good enough and we enjoyed toiletries provided (two different shower gels and decent hair conditioner). Location is great, close to transport links, the old town and the lake.

Fantastic stay at Ruby Claire. Great location to explore Geneva from. Top service as well.

Great modern hotel

The feel in the room is not nice. The deco has nice pieces but nothing goes well together. There is no privacy on the bathroom

This hotel is very centrally located, with a unique concept. Loved the bar and reception area, with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was amazing, with a large bathroom and eco-friendly set up. The walk to the room was a bit longer than expected, but with the size and set up of the room, it was well worth the walk. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Geneva. Loved everything about the hotel.

Fabulous location - close to dining, shopping, sites & lake. Would stay here again.

Nice place just not 5 stars

The size of the room was fine,bed was a queen size but had 2 single duvet covers ,feet were freezing every night,bed was uncomfortable.super flimsy shower curtain water was going everywhere.no fridge in the room.I wouldn’t stay there again.

I am pleased to stay Ruby good condition and easy to reach and easy to take a walk near the lake and centerilized.

Amazing property and staff interactions.

Very cute, cool spot tucked away near Old Town in a prime shopping district. I thought the rooms were a bit scarce — definitely could use coffee machines (for that morning coffee before you want to see strangers in the elevator) and additional bedsheets.
