About Christchurch Gondola

The Christchurch Gondola is an 862-metre cableway that provides 360-degree views of the city's top attractions. The trip to the summit takes approximately 10 minutes, passing above valleys as birds fly freely beneath your cabin. You will also enjoy panoramic views of the Christchurch cityscape that extends up to the Cantebury Plains, high peaks of the Southern Alps, and beaches of Pegasus Bay.

One-way passes are NZD 10 for adults and NZD 5 for children five to 15 years old. You may purchase directly from the driver.
Alternatively, you may ride public bus number 28 to Christchurch Gondola, departing from the City Exchange on Lichfield Street behind the Crossing Complex. The City Bus Exchange is located between Lichfield and Tuam Streets behind Ballantynes and Cashel Mall.
