Mantra on Jolimont Melbourne

Easy to check my family in and out, we arrived late in the evening and had a late check out the process was fast. Parking isn't great, very tight squeeze. Staff is very friendly. Outdoor pool was great and enjoyed that even though it's outside, its heated. Have all ready booked to stay again, due to this place being walking distance, very close to Aami park and the Melbourne Cricket Grounds.

We booked for 2 adults & 1 child, but when we arrived, there was no 3rd bed, nor was there even 3 towels in the room on check in. When we spoke to reception about why there wasn't a third bed, I was told "we don't make assumptions." Not sure who expects 2 adults to sleep in the same bed of a 6 year old... The rollaway that was eventually delivered had a stained doona and no doona cover (we only discovered this after the second night - our son was in contact with the stains whilst sleeping). We had a few other 'minor' issues, just really took the polish of a wonderful Anzac Day weekend in Melbourne. Whilst the location is amazing for events at the MCG, the hotel is aged and in need of a facelift, and not worth the premium being charged.

Close to everything

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was very convenient with easy access to attractions and public transport. The buffet breakfast was also very good with a nice variety of options. Unfortunately, our initial room had a few issues — the toilet and lights were not working. The staff responded quickly and moved us to another room where the amenities were in good working order, which we appreciated. One downside was that we could hear trains throughout the night, which made it a little difficult to sleep. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with helpful staff, but the train noise may be something to consider if you’re a light sleeper.

It is a really beautiful quiet city escape.

Travelling as a family, comfy room, sofa bed fine. Kitchen good, bathroom a little dated, but fine. Nice and clean, amenities as described and good aircon. Pool area nice, sheltered, pool warm. Breakfast was good, hot and cold options. Car park small and limited. Make sure you book in advance. 15min walk to Flinders St station and all surrounding cafes, shops etc. Had a high floor, room was quiet, good views. Staff all very pleasant. Would return.
