Pullman Sydney Hyde Park

The room tired with scrapes in the window sill area and base of walls all around the room. The main window overlooking Hyde park was permanently fogged over partially obscuring the view outside. I think the seal on the glazed glass has failed. There is mold along the shower curtain area. It’s a large jacuzzi style tub shower and the shower portion is an after thought with an inadequate shower curtain making it difficult to keep the bath room floor dry

Everything was great Reception and restaurants were wonderful.

Wanted my mobile number, when I said it was for marketing so no thank you. Reception denied that it was for marketing and said it was to call me when my room would be ready, so I gave them the number....no call to say my room was ready, but now they have my phone number. Bar was closed by 10:30am so unable to get a drink - and was informed to go round to the restaurant where they can serve me. So I walk round to the restaurant, which was only separated from the bar by a wall, to be told that they were also closed. Frustrating to be on both occasions to be mis-communicated to. This mis-communication happened on two more times, and each time the member of staff actually shared the inaccurate information. ... luckily a more senior person was behind and corrected the mistakes. So overall unable to trust what people were telling us.

This is our 3rd time staying at The Pullman. It’s in a great location with views of Hyde Park and the city. Extra social from the roof top pool. The buffet breakfast is very good, the staff are lovely and helpful and the hotel is clean. Highly recommend.

My only complaint was that the bar closed at 10.00 other than that the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was great although got busy at the weekend.

Bathroom a bit outdated

It would have been nice to have a microwave in room to reheat food, The pool is quite small. The hotel is so conveniently located to all the tourist attractions, we walked to everything (over 100000 steps for the week) and never had to hire a car, took train a couple times to get back to Hotel. Museum Station is only short walk to Hotel through Hyde Park. We caught Train from/to Airport to Museum station and then walked to hotel that is so convenient. Enjoyed our time at the Hotel

Staff were great, location excellent right next to Hyde park and railway stations. Definitely Stay again.

While parts of the building could benefit from a refresh — such as chipped paint, scuff marks and general wear and tear — the hotel itself was a very comfortable place to stay. We booked a Classic Room with two double beds, which was surprisingly spacious. There was enough room for two large suitcases and one small suitcase to remain open on the floor while still having plenty of space to move around comfortably. The bathroom was generously sized and featured a large corner bath with a shower over it. From the 16th floor we enjoyed a lovely view overlooking Hyde Park. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of cooked, cold and sweet options. Both on arrival and departure we were able to store our luggage, which made it easy to continue exploring the city. We also appreciated being able to use the lobby as a base — accessing the facilities and enjoying drinks from the complimentary flavoured water dispensers. The hotel is in a convenient location, just a few minutes’ walk to Museum railway station and around a 10-minute walk to World Square. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a well-located hotel, and we would happily stay here again.

A stay here is a pleasant change from the average. While maintaining high standards, Pullman Hyde Park is just little understated and less try hard. Staff are friendly and quietly efficient without gushing, rooms are stripped of all the annoying non essentials, eg mini fridge is not stuffed with overpriced booze and snacks, room not littered with brochures and menus which can be accessed on line. The restaurant is excellent with a casual and welcoming vibe, but best catering surprise is that the breakfast options include lighter à la carte options and not just the standard big hotel big price big buffet deal. The only downside is the perilously steep and cramped subterranean car park, where there are few accessible spaces for larger vehicles.

Clean rooms, great location

Our stay at Pullman was good but not excellent. The location is nice, close to the metro/ train / hop on hop off bus line. But the housekeeping was poor, and just overall not bad but also not great! I would not choose to go back.

A very tired building, aircon not working properly and room was quite stuffy and degraded. Great location and friendly staff.

The location is great, but the hotel is run down. The pool is freezing; the spa is full of chlorine; bathrooms are old; tv wasn't a smart tv even though it says it is, so limited with in room entertainment for the kids; they have a lollie bar for kids and the lollies are disgusting; the cleaners are nice and do a good job.

Great location, rooms are in need of an update. Comfy beds and easy access to public transport and the city at your doorstep
