I am a long term guest at seymours. It is always nice to see the team again as they are very pleasant and accommodating people. The building is old like majority of ballarat and has its quirks. The rooms are very spacious, well resourced, quiet and safe. They are always very clean. I will happily return again. Thankyou.

Property location, heating, room size and beds were good with kitchenette.
Blinds let too much light in, fuse kept tripping when using kettle and hot water system or air con, room appeared to have water damage and shower head was loose and impractical with door not sealing properly so water leaked through to bathroom floor.

The room was completely different to what was pictured. It was a different room that was run down. It definitely needs an update. There was rust on bathroom fittings, and tape on the corners of the bench that had been broken. When I checked in, the soap dispenser didn't even have much hand soap left in it. I had to ask for more. We sat on the coach and a thick layer of dust went into the air when we put our arms on the arm rest. Could hear everyone walking upstairs so it was very noisy at night and first thing in the morning.
Only good thing about the place was location.
The listing needs to be updated up reflect accurate room listing. Not what was expected. I wouldn't have booked the room we got if I hadve known.

Comfortable, clean room with adequate parking. A pub with adequate dining is next to the hotel. Close to railway station. Air conditioning struggled to heat room and there was a damage at the bottom of the entry door that allowed cold air to blow in. Sufficient amenities for a few days stay. We liked the use of door code instead of keys.

Dismissive unfriendly staff who don't know how to respond to a guest saying "hello". Room refresh each day was lack lustre.
I do not recommend this hotel. Do not be fooled by the charming photo of the old house. Yes, it's part of the hotel, but most of the place could never be described as charming.

Great locations and staff were amazing. I feel the room was very comfortable and clean. I do believe the hotel does need to do a makeover as its showing its age and the paint is peeling on the ceiling.
