The staff treated me like family. Upon arrival they gave me a chat about all of the exciting things to do in Brisbane and even wrote tyem down with instructions on taking the transit to various tourist destinations. There's great restaurants and cafes within a couple blocks and the Queen Street Mall is a short walk. The room was immaculate and housekeeping was delightful. I will definitely stay here again.

I needed a base for sleeping and getting ready for a night out in the Valley. FV is a (25 mins) nice and easy walk. This hotel was perfect - I needed a clean, quiet, comfortable and convenient place to stay at a good price that had parking. I am a solo female traveller and felt very safe at hotel and in the area. Check-in and check-out was friendly and very efficient. It's not the most modern and fancy place, but I didn't need any of the amenities of a big 4* hotel (and there is a Mercure next door if you need the bar, restaurant etc). The room had a bar fridge, aircon and a good tea/coffee set-up. (Maybe have some earplugs to hand if you're a light sleeper as the city's garbage collection on Monday at 5am are not the hotel's fault but woke me up).

Had a great experience at SOHO. Stayed here for two nights as I was having a medical procedure in the area, and it met my needs perfectly. The staff working there are lovely, especially Ming at reception, who happily helped us with anything and everything and had such a lovely personality. It’s a very simple, no frills style of accommodation and great for affordability. Would definitely stay at SOHO again

I stayed here 5 nights as I had a training course in Brisbane and the train station was opposite. Room serviced each day and staff were very lovely at check in. NOISY NOISY NOISY!!! An older building which was quite cute, but that meant old school balcony doors that you could hear everything through, you can hear the neighbours showering, flushing toilets, people partying. Out room was pretty small for 2 people with 2 twin beds. We hardly had any room to store out bags, etc. Plus there was absolutely no option to check in after 8 PM so beware of that, you HAVE to check in before 8 or you will need to find other options for the night, Parking was limited and some spots were extremely tight, but free. Plus they did not have decaf coffee for those of us that can't tolerate caffeine any more. Some excuse about they buy boxes of 5,000 each and most of the decaf coffee expires before it's used. Oh come on, anybody can go online and buy far smaller packs so that is no excuse at all, but typical of Australian hotels (there are some that are considerate of their guests and provide some).Otherwise the place was fine, we had a small balcony, it was clean and looked nice, and it was a short walk (12-15 minutes) to the central business area.

Its more like a hostel..not a hotel..restaurant not open...reception limited hours..if not in by 8pm then cant check in
Very noisy outside with bins and road...tiny room with a noisy aircon..
Great shower..very tired decor
Homeless in the park opposite ..support staff bring a soup kitchen and washing machines...our car covered in coffee dregs

The bed was very comfortable and it's close to the city. Unfortunately we were disappointed that after booking this hotel believing we would have free onsite parking and contacting them prior to arriving we were told the was no parking available and we had to park on the street - which also meant we had to get up at 6am to pay for parking.

Extremely clean, I was lucky to get a car park on site. Ray at the front desk gets an 11 for his friendliness, helpfulness and all round personality, a truely nice guy and an assert to Soho.
