Soho was perfect for my requirements. Super close to the places I needed to be and the Roma St station. Alex at the reception was super nice, happy, smiling and super helpful. Pointed me in the right direction for dinner, organized buffet breakfast next door at the Mecure for me, and held my luggage until I finished my bussiness in the city. I scored room 402, with the best view from the place. Fourth floor at the front overlooking the Wickam Park, Roma St and part of the city. Was a small room, perfect for myself, but maybe a little cramped if the were 2. Very clean, good shower, comfy bed and everything I needed. Thanks Soho and Alex for making a stressful trip much calmer. Definitely my new go to when up Brisbane. And Go the Mighty Broncos and the Maroons.

Lets start off by saying that I was booked at the SOHO then got a free upgrade to The Mercure Hotel which apparently are owned by the same company as SOHO. So this review is for that it was a very clean hotel, staff were friendly and lovely room and bed. Would recommend.

We didnt realise how hilly the area was so a steep slope to hotel from city centre and lots of steps to the train statikn although near. We booked to be walkable to the train station but with cases too taxing with steps and slopes. The restaurant was closed so we used next door hot which was okay but no much else nearby easily walkable. The main issue was the barrow shower room and the raised stepas you exit the shower. The bath mat slipped on the floor and my roommate had a fall luckily not too bad but the raised step could have caused a real issue had she fallen and hit her head on it. Staff on reception - if you didnt overlook it not easily seen as you gk up the slope to the security door to the rooms. No lift so steps an isdue with steps. Not a bad stay overall - balcony a nice touch.

You must bear in my this property is on a steep hill. There is also no lift. The technology is very outdated as you need an actual key get in and out of the building. The positive was there was a laundry room but it is in the parking lot and you do need the key front reception each time to unlock and relock between dryer and washers. Room is clean and air con works so can’t complain about the rooms
