I think it depends on when you stay at the Hallows as to how much you will enjoy it. During busy periods I think it would be a good choice - the front part of the building is nicely restored and although things deteriorate a bit as you get into the rear of the building, it's comfortable enough. On our first night there was just us and one other couple staying. On the second night, just us. The building is very large and rambling and there was no one at reception at any stage. The property is on the outskirts of town and feels quite isolated. I certainly wouldn't recommend if you are travelling alone. It's a huge, empty space. It's good value for money though, with the facilities you get.

It was further away from shops than i thought. I arrived late, itvwas dark and raining abd could not find anywhere to eat close by. Maybe have a list of suggested lo ations to get food or meals from. Property was beautiful
