the room was spacious enough and the bed was very comfortable. we liked having the little kitchenette and it was suitably set up for simple meal preparation. the location is out of town, so we found it peaceful, and it was handy to Mount Panorama which my husband liked. it is a large, somewhat rambling facility with some communal areas like lounges and kitchenettes, that might appeal if conditions meant you need to stay indoors. If you have any concerns with hauling your luggage upstairs, you might like to contact the property and ask for a downstairs room...we didn't realise this and had to take a lot of luggage up stairs and through the hallways. the shower was excellent and we would stay again.

The location was great and the building delightfully quaint and full of history. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. On the down side there was a leak in the ceiling from the floor above, resulting in a large reappearing puddle on our floor. Also no sleep was had due to fighting all night with an overly soft and I suggest well worn mattress, which tried with some degree of success, to swallow us entirely. Quaint, but not up to standard and expensive for what it was.

Didn't realize there was a kitchen. The Bathroom smelt musty. The curtains need cleaning. There were dead insects eg. Moth, Black Beetle and Small Brown Millipede, these dead insects were in the corner on the floor next to Bedside Table near the Bathroom Wall side. They had been there for sometime.

Nice easy check in clean comfy rooms

The kitchen area was simple but satisfactory. A fridge, 2 burned cooker, kettle, some well used pots, toaster and tea coffee supplies. The apartment I had was located on an upper floor so I had to carry luggage up two flights of a staircase. The TV would not connect to wifi so only basic live TV was available. The mattress on the double bed was really way too soft so I did not sleep comfortably. It was very quiet and also located right near the Bathurst race track. The bed linen and towels were very clean and a good number of pillows were supplied. The shower was excellent in relation to hot water and pressure. The building is extremely interesting if you like old historical buildings. I liked the wood panels, old marble fireplace (no longer usable) and wooden door frames. I stated for 1 night. The lack of TV network connectivity bothered me. I could not sign into my streaming services. The apartment was reasonably priced.

Quite, clean and reasonable price.

I think it depends on when you stay at the Hallows as to how much you will enjoy it. During busy periods I think it would be a good choice - the front part of the building is nicely restored and although things deteriorate a bit as you get into the rear of the building, it's comfortable enough. On our first night there was just us and one other couple staying. On the second night, just us. The building is very large and rambling and there was no one at reception at any stage. The property is on the outskirts of town and feels quite isolated. I certainly wouldn't recommend if you are travelling alone. It's a huge, empty space. It's good value for money though, with the facilities you get.

Very basic accommodation but clean, quiet and comfortable bed. Ample free parking.
