The Sebel Byron Bay

We booked a superior king room and it felt like a cell. The only window looked at a grey wall 2m away. Very limited natural light. When I sat on the bed I sank down and nearly sat on the floor. The room also smelt quite funky and the bathroom smelt of wee. There was a large stain on the carpet as you entered the room. We also could not stream anything from my phone and I was told it was my phone's problem - never had a problem anywhere else. Having said that it was in the perfect position for the beach, shops and eateries!

Great location in the centre of town, restaurants and cafes ...the staff were great, had an issue with TV...poor quality TV and lip syncing was always out. The kitchen was ok...only electrical outlets in the cupboard, one stove top cooktop was not working, the outside door of the fridge was dirty, we wiped off the stains..some cups not clean. Couch and chair uncomfortable , no back support. Great bathroom clean looks updated. Great free underground carpark.

The Sebel was in a great location and central to cafes and a very short walk to the beach. Quiet at night and it provides a nice kitchen if you wish eat in.

Great location and decent rooms. Good option for being in central Byron and would happily stay again.

Clean and modern rooms with everything you needed

Pool area was pretty and our room was very clean. The bathroom products (shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer) were sooo lovely and smelt amazing. The corridors and lift from reception could use some new paint and additional lighting. Overall a good stay and within walking distance of the shops and the beach, with parking included. I would stay again.

We found our unit tired .. needed better cleaning. The kitchen facility in these places are always well used but never attended to, just reuse them. Knives never get sharpened for example. Equipment never gets any tlc. The toaster was discussing, wouldn’t use.Facility quality goes down but prices go up .

The location was great, the room was clean however, the bed was very soft and not great for my back.

Love this place! I book here every time I am in Byron. The staff is always so incredible, conveniently located esp if you like walkability, the amenities are great esp lovely to have a kitchen while away from home. There are only so many days I can eat out before needed a home cooked meal.

everything expected of beach hotel, only grumble I had is the bed was two pushed together singles not a proper king, being tall and heavy made it a rough sleep

Fantastic location and attentive staff. Hotel is a bit run down and constant aroma/smell of in house restaurant wafting throughout rooms and hotel. Large water puddles outside rooms after rain as well that comes into room making floors slippery.

Room was spacious and clean. The AC was nice and cold during the hot summer. Very central location but was quiet at night. There is after hour check in service which was great. Only complain is that the phone to TV connection was not great, kept dropping out and we have tried multiple devices with the same outcome.
