The hotel was worth the money paid

It was fine. The exterior has not been kept up with. The inside was nicer but the rooms weren’t the cleanest.

Staff are helpful and friendly. The location off the main road is convenient and easy to access.

Honestly, some of the staff were rude (a few were awesome), the building looked very run down and dirty. When I tried to go elsewhere due to a miscommunication on the amount of the pet fee (was told during check in that it was an extra $50 a night, holy smokes) they would not let me cancel my reservation and made me pay at least one night no matter if I stayed or not (I should have paid the cancellation fee). But as I am not made of money and could not afford to pay for a room and stay elsewhere as well, I stayed the whole 5 nights. The breakfast fare was minimal and did not taste great. The whole building smelled musty when there was not a giant cloud of cologne hiding everything.

Convenient location near many eating locations at the south end of town. Older facility but rooms are large in size.

Erything was in order, smooth checkin. Spacious room with small kitchennette. Nothing to complain about.

Everything was clean and easy to work with.

The bed was uncomfortable and the rooms need updated/painted.

Nice room, comfy bed. Traffic noise was a bit annoying very busy street.

Was travelling on a budget. This motel is dated and somewhat in need of upgrades but I expected this because the price was lower compared to others. However the room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast was very adequate. I would recommend this motel and will return if I’m back in Ft St. John.

From the moment we arrived at Howard Johnson Fort st. John , we were treated so nicely. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome and well taken care of. Our room was nothing short of amazing – spacious, modern, and immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave it! The bathroom was beautifully designed with high-end toiletries and a fantastic shower.

Quiet. A good place to stay before an early morning flight

Behind the TV the tabletop was sticky, the bathroom door handle was damaged, the internet was spotty and sometimes we couldn't connect. outside the spots were covered in snow and difficult to park in. All that said the staff was very friendly and helpful and the beds were very comfy and had a great rest (although someone had their alarm clock ringing and we could hear it one morning) room 204

I had booked a 2 bed room online, but after arriving at the property was told the only available room on the ground floor ( no elevator and I wasn’t able to do stairs) was the handicapped room with a single bed. I initially accepted it but was not offered a discount and we all know you pay more for a room with 2 beds. After getting to the room, it was decided it was not acceptable so I returned to the front desk and that I would force my way up the stairs at which point I was directed to a double room with a kitchenette on the first floor at which point I was charged an additional 15.00 which I am still not sure how I feel but overall it was a question that could have been asked upon first checking in to avoid the kerfuffle. When entering the rooms, try they keep them cold, so you enter an icebox until they warm up which takes awhile because it’s an older motel with baseboard heaters. The front desk clerk did remain friendly and hospitable throughout the check in process which I commend her for as I was probably considered the customer from hell but got the feeling she didn’t have the authority to upgrade rooms and such.

The staff was super friendly and cleanliness was the best part of this older hotel. The breakfast was minimal but you could find something to eat!

For the price it is a clean and comfortable stay.
