The staff are friendly, kind, understanding and just lovely, as always!

Old but very decent, clean and well kept. Right downtown so that helps.

Staff was friendly, and room was quite comfy. If you stay here, be aware of the proximity to local nightclubs, which can get rowdy. Otherwise it was an excellent stay.

The room was clean and big. My only compliant was the scented products used to clean bedding and room. It was overwhelming at times for my husband and I.

The hotel is definitely perfectly located for events held downtown Peterborough. I think it would benefit greatly with some decor and bedding upgrades to make it a destination as opposed to simply place to sleep. That being said itnwas comfortable, staff was friendly, breakfast was fresh and coffee and tea were always available.

Nice and clean property, enjoyed the gas fireplace in the room on a rainy day. Breakfast was simple but good offerings. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Rooms are quite spacious and the staff very attentive.

The room was very dusty, and it was obvious that it hadn't been dusted in a very long time. Also, the toilet tank was leaking, which made it hard to sleep well. It is clear that the room hasn't been renovated in ages.

I had to move rooms because there was hair in the shower and someone's belongings. After moving rooms, I woke up and there were bugs in the sink and tub. The staff was not very helpful. They just said they would speak to the manager. I have stayed here several times. This happened prior but I thought I would give them another chance. The location is good but they have a serious issue regarding cleanliness and customer service.

Most things about this hotel were quite good. But there was one fundamental flaw, which undermined everything: the lack of cooling in the rooms . The air conditioner was too small to handle cooling the room. And since another guest was complaining about this very thing, it seemed that this problem was not just in my room. So there seemed to be no chance of rectifying the situation within the timeframe available. The hotel is going to have to invest in larger air conditioning units.

enjoyed being placed on the top floor as a solo female traveller. didn’t hear anyone all night!

- room was booked for 4, our room 204 only had a queen bed and a single pull out couch. Sized for 3 people. - Adam finally give us a cod(single bed) “doing us a favour) - Adam said all rooms were filled, will not change. - AC was not working. Room very hot. Got another portable AC but staff was unable to attach. Had to run in fan mode only. - Breakfast was only bread with cream cheese, Coffee. No eggs nor protein. - On the plus side room was clean and spacious. Outdated but worked for us. - Seems that no one wants to help once you booked on Expedia. ( not the first time, same happened a few times before)

I would not recommend going to this hotel. The beds need to be updated. There are the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever been in the bathroom was disgusting. The elevator smelled like it was gonna catch fire. The lights in the ceiling were really dirty. The air conditioner is a joke. The air conditioner was filthy and did not work. It was hot as hell. The bathroom needs to be updated and definitely some new caulking.

The breakfast didn't include any eggs. The air conditioner was a bit noisy.

Even though the property is on the older side, the room was clean, the staff friendly and location very central. Overall, good value for the money

A wonderful little spot. As you will read in other reviews, yes the hotel is a little outdated, but it is clearly maintained very nicely. Heating was a little off, I suspect the windows are very drafty, so the heat is turned up very high to accommodate the chill during certain months, but that was not a problem for me. The club across the street is definitely audible on weekends. Nothing I couldn't handle, but it should be stated. Location was excellent, local diner voucher was given for a discount at certain restaurants, and a very honest and sweet man was working the front. Parking is offsite but compensated. I would absolutely stay here again, I would just caution those with a lot of luggage that unloading/loading might be complicated. And if you're a light/anxious sleeper, see if you can get a room that does not face the street.

The bed was not comfy, and the AC was loud. Breakfast was meh at best.
