Good location, close to the Stephen Ave Walk. We also had our room on the same level as the rooftop pool with a direct access to it. Our family loved it. Be aware, the parking is a valet parking type, but it is very convenient.

We stayed for 2 nights in a room with 2 double beds and a balcony overlooking the pool which was nice. The room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids - it was clean and the beds were comfy. It was very hot and sunny when we visited in July so the outdoor pool was a real bonus. The valet parking was good - staff were helpful and check in was fine. We picked the hotel due to price and location - it is very central and easy to walk everywhere in the city. No complaints - would stay here again.

While it was kept mostly clean by the staff, I noticed there are bad carpet stains everywhere including Rm 719, they should have replaced the carpeting long ago. Also had a dead electrical outlet so the bedside lamp had no chance of working, seems to be neglected on long term maintenance?

The pool parties on Saturdays and Sundays ended at a reasonable time. However, the pool had leftovers of food in it and they were there all week. As well, the water was very cold... no swimming for me and very little for my grand-daughter. The restaurant only opened for breakfasts. The hotel and our room were very clean.

The Night Shift Front Desk Clerk (Lady Asian) needs to be trained on working in Front Desk...No Courtesy, Not Hospitable, Not Friendly., Never Helpful ,Not Accomodating, Doesn't Smile...treated us like kids or Un important... It was a terrible stay AC is not working we stayed for 8 nights.i have a toddler that has a medical condition that it will trigger if the room is hot , told them about it the manager did not even apology for the inconvenience he just hand us the small fun and left. Ask them to clean our room on the 3rd day that we were there and told them specifically to vacuum since my toddler made a mess with the gold fish she ate. They fix the bed gave us a new towel and DID NOT vacuum. And left the 1 dirty plate on the table . The elevator will take ages to open and if it did the staff will go in first really fast with there cleaning cart instead of letting the guest go in first.. you will feel that you are not welcome and you are burdened .. the only one thing about staying here is the pool entry.. we wont be back again they have to seriously train their staff how to let their guest feel welcome

For the $228 CAD per night, the hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood close to a park with a lot of homeless people. Additionally they didn’t provide any complimentary bottle if water for that price and the cheap Keurig coffee machine in the room didn’t work. Little to no value for the amount I paid

The rooms are shockingly outdated. The room I had was brown walls and dirty 50 year old carpets. The balcony door had hardly any paint on it and the balcony dirty. Staff were nice but I would not recommend f this hotel u less you are ok with unrenovated rooms since 1960.

Old hotel. We specifically asked for a NOT connecting room, but we got exactly that. No safety box. TV remote control partially working. AC set on 20 degrees celsius and cannot be turned off. No restaurant available for lunch and dinner. Excellent location. Good wifi and nice pool.

No bed bugs, but I swatted 1 house fly, 1 little black fly, 1 mosquito, and 3 fruit flies. The window was not open however there must have been an open door to outside. The wildfire smoke got in my room, and the bugs. To be fair I didn't have time to ask for a different room. I was also freezing in the room and the staff brought up a space heater as the thermostat was not working. I felt this was a sub par hotel that was too expensive for what I experienced. The staff were great though, no issues there. Now to bring up the Saturday "Pool Party", this was rented out by a third party I guess. So the hotel was not responsible for that Gong Show. They should not have allowed children in the pool area, there were couples, ahem, coupling, a guy ODed and lots of alcohol consumed. The worst part was the event staff did not call 911, they took the unconscious man outside in a wheelchair. I have no idea if he got medical attention. It ruined my afternoon because the parents of a bunch of little girls were in the pool, when guy was discovered in distress, were not close by. I explained that everything was alright to these little girls. It was far from alright. There was no lifeguard and the parents were not in reach of the children. I can't confirm if the parents were drinking but they were in the bar area. It was too smoky "unhealthy" to even have a party outside in the first place. There was a complete lack of safety or responsibility.

Extremely disappointing stay. The central air conditioning did not work, and the only solution offered was a portable fan with a simple "sorry, that's just how the central AC is." Paying for a hotel room without functioning air conditioning is unacceptable. The hotel also hosted loud pool parties with music blasting at full volume for hours. Guests in swimwear were running through the hallways and lobby well into the afternoon, leaving water all over the floors. It felt more like a public recreation centre than a hotel, making it difficult to relax or enjoy the stay. Accessibility and arrival are also major concerns. There is effectively no proper hotel entrance for drop-offs. You have to get out on a busy main road, with a cycle lane separating vehicles from the entrance. Anyone with mobility issues or disabilities is forced to navigate traffic and cyclists while trying to reach the hotel with luggage, which feels both inconvenient and unsafe. Overall, the property falls well short of what I would expect from a hotel. Poor maintenance, excessive noise, and a poorly designed entrance made this one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I've had.
