Super 8 by Wyndham Castlegar BC

The waterslide was not open and the pool does not have any towels. You have to bring the towels from your room to the pool and when asking for more they are very hesitant to give them to you. Continental breakfast was waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast, and hard boiled eggs. Plan on eating somewhere else honestly.

Very good service

The bathroom was in bad repair. Moulding were missing or falling off Caulking needed to be redone. Bedspread had stains. Chair was broken and should not be used.

The water slides broken. That’s the only down side. Other than that the vibes and the atmosphere is impressive and feels very unique. Staff are nice, accommodating and anticipate needs well. Overall a clean, seamless, and comfortable experience. 9/10 would recommend. FIX THE SLIDE lol

Water slide not working, a dis’s appointment for my granddaughter. Shower curtain in poor condition. No fresh milk at breakfast. Noisy air conditioning unit in room.

Property is dated but overall clean and comfortable. Breakfast area was good.

Hotel needs serious upgrades priced too high for the rooms in need of upgrading. Baseboards pealing cupboard doors in bathroom needs replacing, etc

We always like the hotel...so comfortsble and staff are wonderful...breakfast pretty simple...stayed ay othet Wyndyms and breakfast were superb..see you next year

lacking a nearby restaurant

The homeless guy below our window was unfortunate. Not in hotel property so not their issue. Construction site behind us. Lack of protein for breakfast and no gluten free was disappointing. Bed was comfy Shower head fell off Toilet not working properly. Notified desk upon checkout. Didn't know the hotel was under renovation. May have changed my opinion Staff was great and professional

Book property because of easy excess to a restaurant. Only to be told been closed for a month . Same with waterslide. .

The Super 8 is a great place to stay and the staff is very accommodating and friendly

Water slide was closed. Window wouldn't close all the way. Breakfast was ready early, which was appreciated. Staff was friendly. Hotel is looking run down but is clean.

Very disappointed with our stay. Have stayed here many times but it has deteriorated even since last year. Our room was less than clean, in fact an item of the last guests clothing was found under a chair as well as some drinks in the fridge so I’m sure only the minimum cleaning was done. Will not return as there are other options in Castlegar.

Slide was down and we didn’t realize the pool is not a swimming pool . More of a splash pool . 1 meter or less so that was a bit disappointing. The staff at the property were nice, but overall the property was fairly run down and old. The continental breakfast was just OK. The good thing about this location is that there is a Safeway and many other handy stores close by

Staff was so friendly and extremely accommodating! Room was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was as good as you’d expect for a continental. Everything fresh and replenished when needed.

The front desk was very rude.,they charge me double on my credit card.We can hear people above us.We called the front desk to do something about the noise as its past 10:30 pm,she said this is hotel and its normal!!!!

The breakfast was terrible! They offered bread, one type of muffin and one type of bagel, cereal or waffles and some not so fresh fruit or yogurt. With allergies to dairy and wheat we didn’t even go down for breakfast the second day but had to buy out. The door from our room directly to the pool area had a turn lock directly FROM the pool that anyone could open because the locking mechanism was broken inside the room. The theme room was neat but not in good repair. The beds were either you could feel the springs or the one in the parents suite was so misshaped that it bent under the weight of our tiny 8 year old!!!! There was only towels for 3 people- we didn’t receive housekeeping or new towels the next day. There was no iron and the one they gave us was broken and dropped water on every setting. My husband had to wear a damp dress shirt and the rest of us wore wrinkly dresses to the occasion we were going to. The waterside was broken and the pool was VERY cold. The service was kind though and the pillows were like clouds.
