Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa All Inclusive

The Resort needs to clarified with Expedia about their child booking policy. We were booking a family package of 3 adults and 1 child(15yrs old) through Expedia website. As we were checking in with the resort they did not allow us to check in due to the child being over 12 yrs old. The staffs/management at the resort stated that it’s in their policy that we have to paid full adult price for the child. We’ve paid for the full adult price for the 15 yrs old. The resort gave me two options. Either we book another room or pay an extra charge as I was also traveling with two other families. The staff/management at the resort said that Expedia will refund us the child credit but they cannot do anything until Monday as my family and i were checking in on a Saturday. The entire duration of my trip at the resort, we were going back and forth between the Resort and Expedia of the refund but we still don’t know that we will able a refund. Therefore, whoever is booking from the third party, please be careful when booking as expedia and the resort has different age limit when it comes to booking.

Good hotel

This place was amazing! Food was great and service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly. The Concierge Geebran Ruiz was amazing too. He did all our restaurant reservation and he was very attentive. He guides and recommends the tours. Love this place!! For sure I will be back.

General speaking, our stay in this Resort was excellent. Quality of food and service in all the Restaurants was simply outstanding. In special consideration and gratitude to Angel and Christian, the best Bartenders at the Bar next to the Theater.

It was very clean. Service was superb. The food was excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was the beach. It had way to much sea weed. 😤

This resort was everything the reviews I read before booking said. It was an excellent experience all around and the staff was very helpful and made the experience fun and truly felt like a vacation. We had a billing mishap at one point, and the manager stepped in and fixed it for us in a very fair way. I really appreciated him. And the butler service really was helpful for everything from getting advil when we needed it to setting up appointments.

This was the 4th time we had stayed at this property and it was excellent. The service is consistently above and beyond. Friendliness and attention to detail are common themes here. The preferred club option is certainly worth the additional fee for the preferred club pool and specialty dining alone. Additionally, this option comes with a butler service. Ours, Breilin, was phenomenal and was able to make our trip easy by making accommodations and recommendations throughout our time here. Nelis, Inoel, Carlos, and Alejandro make the preferred club pool experience what it is and was the primary reason we returned.

La estadía no estuvo mal del todo. No obstante, hubo 2 interrupciones de electricidad dejando sin aire acondicionado la habitación de un día para otro ya que nos encontrabamos en el edificio número 5 y hubo desperfectos imposibilitando un descanso absoluto. Llamamos a recepción en dos ocasiones sin resultado alguno. Queremos reconocer que el servicio de los empleados Shadow y el concierge Breilin fue un servicio de excelencia.

Great place

Everything was easily accessible, and the after dinner show was great way to end an enjoyable day at the beach or the pool. Dining options were excellent and the service was good, however the Mexican restaurant food quality and service could have been better, but it did not spoil the enjoyment. This is a large resort, everything is within a short walking distance and easy to navigate. The resort has something for everyone, active bar areas and quiet beach front. Overall we enjoyed our week at the resort.
