DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Leeds City Centre

Great hotel. Brilliant location for exploring.

Has been a while since we last stayed at the DoubleTree in Leeds and the rooms have had a refresh, ours was clean, spacious and stylish. That shower was great and the luxury toiletries were a nice touch. The breakfast was great, lots of choices both healthy and indulgent. The staff were also happy and friendly especially noted as they were working over Christmas. However, on Boxing Day evening there was a private party in the rooftop bar that went on until the early hours of the morning and even seven floors below the bar, we could hear the constant and bass-heavy music. Why would Hilton allow that kind of party until those hours. We raised it with the front desk in the morning and they said other people had also complained. We will certainly think twice about this hotel for Christmas if they hire out the bar for private parties.

hotel was ok and bedroom ok but I suffered three hours of banging maintenance in next room when i hoped to sleep during day. staff not proactive.

Beautiful clean rooms. Staff were so helpful and polite. Felt very welcome. Had a drink in the sky lounge which has such a lovely atmosphere.

Shocking experience during our first and last visit to this hotel and ironically, the day after staying at mother Doubletree in another city with a very different experience. This hotel for me is not a true 4 star, I would say on par with a Premier Inn. There was a music event in their rooftop bar which blasted loud music until after 2am - there was no warning of this before booking or at check in, they simply said “Our Sky Lounge is closed this evening for a private event”. Cleanliness was also poor, towels and bedding wasn’t clean and reception didn’t answer the phone. The bed wasn’t very comfortable either so got no sleep. I raised a formal complaint and still haven’t had a response. No slippers or dressing gowns (not that I would have used it given the hygiene issues), no shower cap etc in the room. Parking is over £20 but wasn’t available anyway, I found street parking nearby for the same duration for £3. Wait times for check in and their elevators are long. The only benefit for us really was location as it’s close to everything in the centre and has a little shop close by.

My wife and I stayed at the DoubleTree in Leeds for two nights and had a great experience. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was spotless and comfortable, featuring a vast, comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The hotel is conveniently located, within a reasonable distance from the city centre, and we really enjoyed the lovely views of the canal from our room. Everything went smoothly, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
