Lovely, enjoyed our brief stay, staff were all very friendly, breakfast was great and good for accommodating gluten free, would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends who are also looking for a hotel in the same area.

A wonderful stay and a place we will definitely re-visit. My youngest has autism and often struggles in unfamiliar environments, but the suite we had was calming, clean and large. The restaurant and breakfast were lovely. A nice relaxing break after a busy morning of walking around the Warner Bros studios

Went for wife’s 40th birthday. Gardens and grounds are lovely, if a little tricky to access.
Room was in ok condition, decor looked a little tired but clean, fresh and acceptable.
What was NOT acceptable was the exceptionally thin walls between our room and next. When you could hear the next room using the bathroom clearly and also being woke at midnight to the sound of a group of drunken guests next door it does ruin the stay.
I can’t stress how clearly we could hear them, we we woke we at first thought people had came into our room.
We rang to reception who then rang/called the room and they did quieten eventually but it did take the shine off our stay over and took us to 1am to get back to sleep.
Tired the next morning we got a 1/2 apology from the reception.
The app wouldn’t let us book dinner at the restaurant and there was no tables free when we arrived, ate at the bar. Expensive enough for what it was.
Would look elsewhere in future which is pity as it has stunning grounds and potential.

Room felt very neglected. Could do with a touch of paint and a tv that actually works. Room looked like it had a quick clean like the sheets changed but was literally able to write in the dust. The price point does not reprisent the standards recived.

Staff were very helpful and attentive.
The rooms should state in an annex not the main building. I thought I was staying in the Manor House which I would consider the main building. Quite misleading. If you are looking for old world charm it’s not in the annex.

Poor lighting in superior room as was there for an event really struggled to put make up on right as did my partner when he had to trim his beard into shape. Same for the bathroom lighting. Room could have done with another mirror in another place.
Not great choice of hotel food menu.
Bed not big enough for 2 grown adults especially if adult size are not petite.

The room was clean and the bathroom although it needed some minor maintence to the basin tap (wear and tear problem).
The staff were very freindly and helpful We had a bar snack in the evening which was good ad was breakfast.
Overall very good value so very happy with the experience.
As others have said, the promotional picture does give the impression that you will be staying in a grand old bulding so this is misleading, as the hotel block is modern and not attached to the old building.
