Online description of hotel was misleading- bathroom needed some tlc

The room was clean and the bathroom although it needed some minor maintence to the basin tap (wear and tear problem). The staff were very freindly and helpful We had a bar snack in the evening which was good ad was breakfast. Overall very good value so very happy with the experience. As others have said, the promotional picture does give the impression that you will be staying in a grand old bulding so this is misleading, as the hotel block is modern and not attached to the old building.

I was surprised this is considered a 4* hotel. Conditions okay but basically the same as a premier inn; I was hoping for better for the price. We asked for a refund for our breakfast as avocado on toast and a mushroom omelette took over half an hour to come out and when it did it was cold. The coffee machine was only working intermittently and the quality of the coffee wasn’t great. The pool itself was lovely but generally all the decor was quite tired and shabby

Lovely, enjoyed our brief stay, staff were all very friendly, breakfast was great and good for accommodating gluten free, would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to friends who are also looking for a hotel in the same area.

The hotel stay was fine as I was at the hotel for a conference. The breakfast was very limited and not the most enjoyable. I had the Turkey Christmas meal for my evening meal and it was very processed and not very good. The chairs in the restaurant were covered in stains which was very of putting. In the evening we found the bar area to be very limited and this caused people to splinter off. The rooms are adequate if not a bit small but the walls are so thin you can hear the Tv in the room either side and at one point I thought someone standing in the corridor was actually in my room.

A wonderful stay and a place we will definitely re-visit. My youngest has autism and often struggles in unfamiliar environments, but the suite we had was calming, clean and large. The restaurant and breakfast were lovely. A nice relaxing break after a busy morning of walking around the Warner Bros studios

The room was spotless and the staff were kind, helpful and professional.

I am a vegetarian. I ordered veggie sausages for my breakfast. I waited 20 mins before asking for them, only to be told they forgot. I wouldn't have been annoyed if there had been many people in the restaurant, but I was 1 of 3! The radiator in the bathroom was not working as well, so that was a little annoying. The stay at the hotel was disappointing this time. Usually a lot better!

Room was a little tired looking, shower cubical was a little mouldy, show pressure really good although temperature would fluctuate hot and cold throughout use. Bed really comfy and room was clean.

The room was nice but a bit tired. The bed was comfortable, pillows suited me, but might be too hard for some. The towel rail in the bathroom didnt seem to work, the wardrobe was propped up on a couple of bits of wood, the walls were covered in scuff marks. The staff were friendly, and I didn't eat in the reataurant.

Old, noisy and food is awful. Stay away.

We were informed upon arrival that the restaurant would not be open due to an event that had been booked. We are understanding and know that this is a venue for events, however I had not been informed of this prior to my visit and had booked the hotel for the purpose of the restaurant. Instead, we were sat in a very small bar with many other hotel guests. The staff were accommodating despite this and sorted a new table for us, but it would have been greatly appreciated if we were to have been informed of this before our stay so that we could have found somewhere else to eat.

Very clean, nice decor and room design. The internal signage is not overly clear - The rooms are named different to the cards you are issued with when you check in at reception. Ie. Card says Room 210 but there is no room 210.

Arrived a few hours ahead of check in time, but went to ask if we could check in early, just off chance, but the lady at reception was very abrupt and dismissive with us, telling us there was no chance: wouldn’t have been a problem but just found her a bit rude & felt she could have handled it better. Room was cold, put heating on and then it was too hot - no happy in between. Could hear doors opening and closing through the night as the walls were thin. Didn’t try the breakfast so cannot comment on that. The room was clean, beds comfy & we didn’t struggle for parking, and was within 10 minutes by car of WB studios which is why we were there. Not bad for what it was.
