Not usually one to do the whole review thing but we had such a good experience. The cottage was great, the hot tub was fantastic, our food was equally good and all the staff couldn't do enough to ensure we had an excellent stay. Abi and the gent in the jacket (sorry didn't get your name) were both spot on in the coach house, an absolute credit to the grange. I'd highly recommend a stay here or even just coming for dinner :)

Me and my Wife stayed for a couple of days, staff were amazing, food was lovely ( best breakfast we’ve ever had ) and being able to relax in the hot tub in the evening really topped it off!

Our stay could not have been better. The Kentisbury Grange has beautiful setting the room was immaculate and had such lovely finishing touches from the towel to the decorative flower on the toilet roll. We only stayed for one night with breakfast included. The breakfast was delicious and service was great.

We stayed in the main house which is a lovely old house with large rooms. The decor was abit mismatched in the bedroom but clean and tidy, but the bathroom was lovely!! The only down side was the room was abit on the cold side and heating was off. Food was cooked well, but menu was limited. Over all a good anniversary break

Where do I start. 1. On arrival - there are two signs for 'Reception' but actual 'Reception' on arrival was based in Restaurant facility. When I arrived the Receptionist could not find the key to my room, she searched and searched - she tried to contact her 'boss' but could get no response. I was offered a drink but declined as I had a function to attend. She suggested I leave my luggage and she would put this in my room whilst I was away. She tells me that the Reception is open until 11 p.m. I was told that this problem would be reported to the Boss. On my return later my luggage had remained in the restaurant/bar area. They discovered that the key was still in the Room I was about to occupy. The room did not smell very nice. However I started to unpack thinking it may be a temporary thing! but on further exploration I found that the smell emanated from the bathroom - very stinky - drain problem I am guessing. I reported this and Reception brought some drain cleaner but I knew this wouldn't help so asked to be moved. Again this was to be reported. 3. I moved to another room and was helped with this by the Receptionist - which had a more intricate way of entry and steps leaving to rooms, also above the door I noticed that it displayed an exit in the case of fire - on exploration in the room - the only other door possible for an escape was firmly locked!

The hotel is beautiful, with lovely grounds, spacious rooms, and a comfortable bed/sofa. The food in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast was delicious. We had a good stay, but there were quite a few negative points. Service was very slow in general in the restaurant and my breakfast was forgotten about entirely. No milk is provided for tea in the rooms, which is frustrating after a long drive! I had also requested a twin room, but was given a double instead with no notification. Staff were generally helpful, despite these downsides, and we had a nice stay overall.
