Great location..... peaceful and tranquil

All staff courteous.Room fine.Spa fine.

Fabulous stay as always. This was our 5th stay at lakeside and we love the peace and relaxed luxury of the place. We took full advantage of the pool and surrounding facilities and I had the most amazing facial. Our room was upgraded to a suite which was a nice bonus and we had a fabulous sleep in a very comfy bed. Love it here, and we will return.

Breakfast didn’t do eggs Benedict when we asked and small portions got two eggs on one round of toast limited choice on main restaurants and £45 a bit expensive glass on back wall of pool area needs a good clean a lot of leaks in the hotel but overall enjoyed the stay

Lovely hotel on the banks of the lake. Spa including indoor pool, sauna & steam room along with changing facilities. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Only downsides were breakfast was small portions, the veggie sausage was amazing but the veggie bacon not so much. There were many rooms that had been refurbished but ours wasn’t one of them, so the decor was a little dated & the fabric sofa needed a good clean. Nice touches in terms of information about the local area and bottles of water at the bedside. Tea, coffee & hot chocolate making facilities in the room and room service available with a fee per delivery. Thanks for having us!

Stay was great, staff fantastic, great location The only downfall were the drinks were the most expensive ive paid for in any hotel

Lovely hotel with lovely traditional decor. We had a room with the beautiful lake view. Spacious, very clean room & bathroom. All Staff very helpful. Davinia, Dave & Alex at reception very nice & friendly. Food was Very good. Special thanks to waiter Andrew who brought us a plate saying "happy 40th anniversary" in chocolate. Spa & pool was lovely and relaxing. Boat cruise to Bowness was also relaxing and very interesting.

The dinner menu choice in both restaurants is poor and the standard of the dishes only average. The breakfast however is very good

Beautiful location, staff were helpful and friendly, rooms are a bit dated, but comfy, Breakfast was amazing. Spa was nice too.

High point of property is its locatio on the southern shore of lake windermere

Tv in rooms was not working so had no tv at night was annoying . Receptionist women was a bit stuck up not very customer orientated

Parking abit of a nightmare when aquarium busy but otherwise a nice stay.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is situated close to the lake with lovely gardens. Road leading to the hotel is narrow and twisty. Would stay here again if I was visiting this part of the country again.

Gorgeous Priperty and Location. Indoor Pool was a bit tired feeling.

We were a little disappointed by the Lakeside Hotel. We felt that there was a lack of warmth and friendliness from some of the staff, and no real interest in ensuring we had a good stay. The initial check in was quite cold and business-like, and throughout our stay many staff dealt with us in quite a disinterested way. There was a fire alarm which woke us up one night. Having rushed outside, we weren't given any explanation or reassurance, and were just told it was ok to come back in. When we checked out, we werent asked how our stay was, we were just told there were no charges. There were some exceptions, but overall throughout our stay we felt the service lacked warmth. We also weren't impressed by the food. At breakfast on one day, our food was both overcooked and cold by the time it reached us, which was about 30 minutes after we'd put in our orders. In fairness it was much better the next day when we went at a quieter time, but I would expect the quality of the food to be consistent (particularly given the cost) even if it takes a bit longer when it's busy. The positive was the bed which was really comfy. It's a shame as the hotel is in a beautiful locaton, but I feel that there is a waste of the potential for this to be a place we'd want to return to.
