We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was easy to find and, while parking is limited, the nearby park & ride bus service is convenient and stops right outside the hotel.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the hotel itself has lots of character. Our room was clean, well presented, and very comfortable — the bed was especially comfy!
While some areas of the hotel could use a little TLC, it didn’t impact our stay at all.
The food was fresh, nicely presented, and was tasty.
All in all, a lovely stay — we would definitely return!

The property is certainly a luxury with spacious rooms , beautiful view and well maintained washrooms .

Long walk to room, lots of steps, they did offer to take cases. Only view fro room was a brick wall. Room was hot but portable ac provided. Room layout could be better as no plugs sockets by kettle. Breakfast was fantastic

Lovely location, walking into city is 15 mins, really central with parking. Walk back is uphill but walked off all the food!
We had lovely quiet room, really comfortable bed and breakfast was definitely worth including.

Nice old building conveniently located for walking to Bath city center and around Bath in general. The hotel is old and quaint. Definitely not very accessible. Be prepared to carry your suitcases up and down multiple sets of stairs. The staff were very helpful. The parking is limited but if you get there early, you should be able to get a spot.

What a lovely place to stay with beautiful views of Bath. Excellent service on arrival, bedroom was modern and comfortable, the only down side was the heating on full blast and had to use the fan all night. Mini fridge to store items such as drinks or snacks was a great addition to the room. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use all the amenities the hotel had to offer such as the bar but we did have breakfast in the morning which was a range of cooked and continental, something for everyone. Would recommend and will definitely stay again. Due to the hotel location, if you go out for a wonder and end up at the bottom of the hill, it's definitely not for the faint hearted!

The hotel has huge potential but the service didn’t live up to it. There was only one member of staff checking in running the bar etc…..I wanted a drink and waited 10 mins for him to appear at one point and then he said he would check the customers in behind me…..not great!!!

The staff were probably the best asset for this hotel. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. It is in desperate need for a makeover and looked quite run down. My room was not clean. The carpet had stains, the bathroom floor was not clean either. The bedside lamp did not work either. I am amazed that this is classed as a four star hotel. I would have classed it a 2 star. The saving grace was the staff who were all lovely. Also it is situated at the top of a very steep hill. I dreaded having to walk up the steep hill after spending the day sight seeing.

We were able to leave our car and head into the city before check in. Check in was smooth and room was fine. The gentleman serving at the bar was exceptional. He was very welcoming and made conversation with each guest which is a plus for guest. Our room was very hot so slept with windows open and had no issues with road noise considering how close to main road the hotel is. The location is really good with a bus stop opposite so you don't need to walk up the steep hill after a day out exploring.
