Would highly recommend this establisment to anyone. Very helpful staff, very clean and good parking, although as with most hotels it did cost extra. If you do walk to the hotel, be aware that Bath is more hilly than you think. If you are less mobile, there is a bus service that drops you at the door but everything was close enough for us to walk. Dinner snd breakfast were outstanding both in the quality and service.

We had a nice three night stay in Bath. Our room was very comfortable and we had a nice patio. It was not completely private, but we were able to keep the patio door open and let in some fresh air. The rooms are very spread out and we were far from the front desk. There are many short staircases, which were a slight problem with heavy luggage. We ate a good dinner in the restaurant one night. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill (for walking or driving) and about .75 miles from the main part of Bath. This could be a real challenge for those who have limited mobility, are elderly, or have small children. Overall, it was a nice, older hotel.

Really nice to stay in a hotel with character. Beautiful building, updated sympathetically. Professional staff, excellent service. Allocated a beautiful room with bay window overlooking Bath. Spotlessly clean too. Only negative is that it is a uphill walk from the city. However there is the option to get the 31 bus or taxi from the city.

Heading down to the SW. Wanted an overnight stopover and fancied bath. Lansdown Grove looked attractive and fitted the bill. We certainly weren’t disappointed and would stay again. And would possibly make it a longer stay. Would request a front room next time.

Fabulous hotel with super friendly staff. Hotel is situated on a hill, so prepare yourself for a walk up the hill when returning from the city centre. Lots of steps in the hotel and parking is on a first come, first served basis at £15 per night, but that is the only negative. Lovely patio room, with fan and portable aircon on the hotest weekend of the year so far. Powerful shower, a must for my wife. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order, and the best overnight oats, i have ever tasted. We were there for a celebration weekend, and the silver package of towel art, petals and fruit bowl were well received.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was easy to find and, while parking is limited, the nearby park & ride bus service is convenient and stops right outside the hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the hotel itself has lots of character. Our room was clean, well presented, and very comfortable — the bed was especially comfy! While some areas of the hotel could use a little TLC, it didn’t impact our stay at all. The food was fresh, nicely presented, and was tasty. All in all, a lovely stay — we would definitely return!

Nice old building conveniently located for walking to Bath city center and around Bath in general. The hotel is old and quaint. Definitely not very accessible. Be prepared to carry your suitcases up and down multiple sets of stairs. The staff were very helpful. The parking is limited but if you get there early, you should be able to get a spot.
