Staff were all great without exception !👏
Room was clean beds and pillows perfect it was such a bonus to have parking right outside. Breakfast was excellent with amazing service and selection of food. Dinner in the 1913 restaurant was really good the flat iron steak was amazing perfectly cooked and delicious , definitely recommend 👍

The hotel is an old building so we understand the facilities have been improved to update with the modern life. There is a lift but there are about 10 -11 steps up and down before I could move my luggage into the room. There are 4 steps of staircase before I could use the bathroom.
I had an accident on my first night stay 21 May 2026 2:40 a.m., I sprained my right ankle. I could not manage to go to the hospital with only one leg. I was so grateful the staff on duty on 21 May, came and helped me go downstairs with my husband. I must give a big "thank you" to this kind gentleman.
I suggest a wheelchair should be added in your hotel to move those in need. Ramps would also be helpful for visitors moving their luggage in such an old building.

Not ideal for wheelchair users as the lift is rather small also really difficult to get into the reception area from the car park as there is a big ledge to go over for access so a ramp is very much needed.

Unterkunft mit kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz etwas oberhalb von Bath. Service im Restaurant sehr aufmerksam, freundliche und hilfsbereite Rezeptionisten. Das Haus ist sehr verwinkelt und trotz Aufzug können auf dem Weg ins Zimmer Treppen kommen. Die Zimmer sind zweckdienlich.

We hired garden view rooms, the balcony is being refurbished so we had views of scaffolding, the windows would not open and it was a very hot day and night. The air con unit and fan worked ok.
It would have been good to be forewarned of what to expect rather than just that we’re maintenance works. It was a surprise for my Fathers 81st birthday and it was sad that the room was hit and surrounded by scaffolding

The location is a little out of town but it’s very quick - £7 in a taxi from the train station up the hill and a short and lovely stroll down.
We had a spacious twin room and it was comfortable. We didn’t eat or drink there as it was a flying visit but I’d recommend if you want somewhere traditional, spacious and with a great view.

The hotel carpets all need changing or at least cleaning, the floor boards creeked so bad! We were afraid to walk on them for fear of waking the people below us. It seemed like the owners were out to make as much money for as little cost to themselves, ie what hotel charge you £15 a night to park your car, when you have already paid £360 for 2 nights far a box double room? At least there was an iron.

A very comfortable stay at the Lansdown Grove. Helpful staff and a warm welcome. Very happy at answering any queries. Parking was pretty packed out and I wasn’t informed of the extra charges for this beforehand. However Bath is not a particularly friendly city for cars, so grateful to have the facility. I would definitely stay again.
