Room was clean air con great ... Needs better lighting

All great apart from the holiday camp style, buffet breakfast!

Checking in was fine, took a short wait to get to the front desk. The staff were friendly. The room was fine, little dusty in places, bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a disabled assistance rope in it, which was odd and not required. There was some water damage to the area around the toilet and a cracked tile on the bath surround. The air extractor in the bathroom was very loud, so loud I could not hear my music very well. The TV was fine, large enough. For the price I’d like a couple of biscuits and some decent coffee and tea. The iron was good, did the job very well, but the ironing board needs replacing or repairing to remove the dip in the end section. The lifts getting to the room were slow, are they working as well/quickly as they should be? I also noticed a couple checking-in got offered “complimentary drinks” when they checked-in? Not sure why they did and we did not. I chose this hotel for its location in the city centre, it’s very handy to get anywhere. It just is not worth £150 per night, not for what you get. You get more from a Premier Inn and they are run of the mill as a brand. If you could lower prices a bit, you would fill-up quicker. I would have loved a discount for using a local car park, that would have been nice. The shower and bath are very very good, cannot fault them. Might want to scrub the rust off the rail though, and clean or replace the shower curtain.

Check in was poor. Room was good when it was ready after 45 minutes and very clean. Original member of staff checking us in was not helpful. The second person was much more helpful and checked us in with a free glass of Prosecco.

Really nice room, very clean and comfy and a short walk into town. Only point to note is that there are not many lights in the room so felt dark, even with the curtains open during the day

Check in was easy. Arrived in the evening - was fine for a one night stay.

Close to City centre, clean facilities, friendly staff. Comfortable bed, great shower.

Comfortable beds & pillows no noise heardfrom outside bath & shower good to have Unfortunately bedside bulb not working so had to take bulb out another lamp to read in bed Half curtain rail missing so unable to close curtain fully so light early in morning Bin broken in bedroom area. Informed staff for next visitors said would look into it but unsure if would as not noted before she spoke to next guests that were also leaving A pleasant stay though but did not have breakfast or use bar a to expensive. Would use as RO again if cheap enough.

Lovely venue, very close to train station. Staff were friendly and bed was very comfortable. Pillows I found not the best but my partner had no issues with them. Ate at the restaurant on the evening and food was about average price and same for quality however portion size was good

Staff were friendly and seemingly helpful, but follow up was poor. Over a two day period I had to repeatedly ask for my TV to be fixed as I was not getting most of the stations. Additionally, I had to repeatedly remind them to add the water and biscuits to my room over the same period. The hotel does not have fridges in any of the rooms including the 'superior' rooms, which is inconvenient.

They had a really high non detachable shower head but didn’t supply shower caps. So my wife didn’t get to shower as no time to wash her hair lol. Also for a four stay hotel, the breakfast was far too limited and low quality.

Easy online check in, friendly staff all areas clean and tidy
