London Marriott Hotel County Hall

Great location, but the photos of the rooms were quite deceptive. Though the rooms are very well kept and clean, the images made the rooms look much larger. DO NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION DURING A WARM PERIOD. Though air conditioning is listed as an amenity, our room was at 25C (77F) during our entire last evening. We called reception in the middle of the night, and a very condescending young man arrived at our room indicating nothing was wrong. I know enough about HVAC to assess that there was a system issue that the staff would not acknowledge. When we went onto the balcony the next morning, several rooms on the balcony level had their balcony doors fully open.

In trying to extend for a night the woman at the desk was so difficult and unwilling to have a professional conversation we decided to check out and go to a different hotel today. She was obtuse and downright rude. We are premier members of the ritz Carlton and Marriott rewards system and even after confirming this she was nasty and unhelpful. I actually explained to her that it would have been easier to go to another hotel in the morning and she told me that would be fine. This was at 1am. There was literally no one else other than she and my myself in the lobby. Marriot will be our last choice going forward.

Location is great but if u have many luggages then it’s stressful to have to bring them up the stairs to the concierge after drop off from car

Breakfast was terrible because the dishes smelled awful, like rotten eggs. No matter how many dishes we changed, the smell was there, even in the dessert dishes, which should have smelled delicious.

This is a hotel that charges 5 star prices and offers 3 star service The room was very nice. However I was surprised not to be able to order anything at the bar/sitting room to eat when I arrived at 11-15 am. We had been sent there by the staff in the library. Later I was shocked to discover there is no in room dining - there is take away/dilivery service consisting of sandwiches and pizza. I paid over £26 pounds for a pack fo two sandwiches which looked as if they had been unwrapped and came from M and S- and some crisps - I could have got the lot for under a tenner if I had gone across the road to the little shop in St Thomases or around the corner to a convenience store. Of that 26 quid - £6.99 was a delivery fee - and £2.99 and order fee Rip off Britain is alive and well and its epicentre is the Marriot County Hall Hotel
