Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel

Breakfast choices were excellent. Parking was adjacent and plentiful. All staff we met were good. The room (139) felt a bit weary, the beds not particularly comfortable. The shower was over a bath, ok, but the bath sides were very high for people with stiff legs. One lamp was not working, the toilet flush handle was loose on the wall. Nothing dreadful but could be improved.

Room was large and pleasant enough but absolutely awful night sleep due to a very noisy radiator next to the bed through the night. Very disappointing for the price paid.

Great stay, really friendly staff, good breakfast mushrooms were particularly great. We used swimming pool and steam room which were tired but great to use.

Room and pool jacuzzi wer all good. Massive bed

I managed to unfortunately walk in the back way. I walked through the car park. It was strange as there was no signage and just followed arrows for reception. The guy on reception looked like I was an inconvenience and very dismissive. He said the bars over there and the restaurants over there. Barely a welcome and then told me the lift was out and right. He could have said it’s to the right by the stairs. Because I got lost. He never told me about breakfast or anything else. The room was excellently cleaned but it had stains on the carpet which were off putting and a stain on the chair. The cleaning staff were clean and efficient. The breakfast room staff were amazing and helpful. And friendly. Breakfast itself was good. Lots to choose from and easy to get to. Hot and cold available. The reception staff when I checked out were friendly and chatty and asked about my day like they cared. In some areas there needs to be a bit of renovation but other than that a pleasant stay.

Good breakfast. Stayed in the family room which was very large. Pool area is very poor unfortunately. Lots of missing tiles on the bottom of the pool is quite dangerous. A child from another family cut his foot whilst walking on the pool. Restaurant OK. If you need somewhere to stay for a hundred quid or less, then this place is fine. Don’t expect anything fancy though. It must just be clinging to the 4 star rating, felt very much like a 3 star.

Nothing at all wrong with the hotel. Clean, nice views of garden, huge bed. It was the noise of the other guests that kept me awake after deciding that 11:30 at night was the best time to have a loud pointless conversation on the landing. Hotel was fine and i had no issues with it. Staff are very helpful and polite. Would stay with them again if i have to.

Staff were nice but the property is tired and the beds were ridiculously uncomfortable.

Black mould on the bathroom tiles, coffee machine not working. Lady at breakfast was most efficient and friendly. Spa bath was lukewarm and not working!

There was ample parking, and the receptionist was very helpful in explaining our travel directions for the following day. The breakfast offering was fresh and varied.

The staff and breakfast where both great, what let's this hotel down is the desperate need for major refurbishment. The rooms have new furniture and paint but beyond this it's very old and tired. The bathrooms where last done in the very early 90s by the look of them. The pool area was also extremely old with bits of tiles missing in the pool, closed of sauna, and very scruffy changing rooms.

The Car Park was large and easy to access, with well marked bays. The Hotel room, beds and bed linen were very clean and comfortable... as were all of the corridors and areas leading to the accommodation. The Breakfast Buffet had a comprehensive range of options BUT due to the Hotel being very busy on the Sunday, items either ran out or cold... however, on the Monday (when there were very few guests), my order was taken by the member of staff looking after the Breakfast service and soon presented freshly cooked and plated... which was excellent.

Heating was broken in my room . There was mold on the curtains and overall not a good hotel cold and damp and dirty . Lift didn't work . I actually left early and checked into another hotel . Would not recommend

Run down rooms and no soap in room.

No hairdryer at the pool + showers scaldingly hot.

Clean and tidy, everything you need there.
