A tired room, very cold - was supposed to be a privilege room but fell short. mismatched furniture, shoddy bathroom with cracked tiles. VERY cold room

Clean room, good facilities

The room was fine but we had upgraded and it was the farthest away fro m everything on the first floor the staff were fine but said the privilege rooms were all that far away and even a disabled room was that far away but on the ground floor

We have stayed here several times as the location is excellent for our visits to see relatives. It has become apparent that this hotel requires significant investment and updating. The rooms are pleasant enough and the beds comfortable, but they are looking tired . On this visit, we booked a Privilege Room, but it didn’t feel like an up grade. It was cold on entry and didn’t warm up much despite having the heater on permanently. The bathroom just isn’t up to standard - no heated rail so towels don’t dry, no shelf, no hooks and of more concern, no grab rail in the bath/shower and no non slip mat. We did ask at reception for a bath mat but nothing appeared. On top of that, there was the fire alarm at 2:30 am one morning (false alarm) for which no hotel staff appeared to be in control of. The breakfasts are usually good here though one morning the hot food items ran out and were not replenished for some 10/15 minutes. We have some sympathy with the staff who generally do their best though as with many places, there are not enough of them. We would stay there again due to the location but improvements would be appreciated.

On the first night, we had a fire alarm at 3 a.m. It took the night auditor 30 minutes to turn it off. No complimentary gesture or apology was offered. The hotel is outdated for a 4-star property. The bathroom silicone is moldy, the carpet is stained and needs a deep clean, and the room was very dusty. The reception staff were not helpful, the phone was not working in a room so hard to get the reception.. and when the shower temperature kept going from very hot to very cold. Coffee and tea were not refilled, which is disappointing for a 4-star hotel where better service and cleanliness are expected.

Room was cold on arrival and struggled to get warm all during our 1 night stay. Furniture and decor looked a bit tired.

Rooms very dated, bathroom was mouldy and plug full of hair! Piles of dirty room service plates, empty bottles of alcohol piled up in the corridors on arrival. Hot tub was freezing and changing rooms are dirty. Health club is also very very dated! Extremely over priced for the quality of the rooms.

The check in was good, looked after by Spencer who is a good ambassador for the compny.

Stay was ok, beds were very uncomfortable and being single beds were tiny. The pool area was very dated which was a shame as I had specifically booked for the spa experience, the breakfast buffett was luke warm which was disappointing as we had a long trip home

Space, room was spacious. Meals were good, staff efficient.

Room was awful: dirty, cold, windows running in condensation & flaking paint, hairs on tiles in bathroom, very basic didn't have a wardrobe or armchair & looked like hadn't been decorated for 10 years, really shabby.
