Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel

Very clean, staff were very polite. Only one thing I think is the shower which was over the bath did not have a handrail or rubber mat! My wife & I are in our late seventies and thought without these items it was quite slippery & dangerous! Other than that very pleased.

Good stay , and comfortable

This hotel is dated and run down. It needs to be completely renovated.

Food was terrible, server ask me if I wanted some or anything else and then returned with my request but still had the cheek to charge me a 10% service charge. My room had stains all over carpet and some moth looking things flying round the bathroom. I won’t be returning!

Had booked for several nights. Got there late on Sunday. The room smelt of stale smoke and made me feel sick. The bed i slept in made me itch like crazy. I ended up putting on more clothes so i had less skin in contact with the bed. And then the shower was cold in the morning, and i mean freezing cold. They changed my room for the rest which was marginally better. Will never return.

A relaxing stay

Enjoyed our stay but some areas of the hotel are clear but a little tired but however I would stay at the hotel and use the facilities again

Very disappointing stay this time. Hardly any drinks in the bar as they had sent the drinks to there event bar, so no drinks of our liking. Then for evening meal most items on the bar menu were not available. Then to top it off world war 3 was happening in the corridors in the early hours 😴

Great stay with a young family. Spacious family room, quiet pool and super breakfast.

On arrival to my room the bed hadn’t been made and there were dirty cups still there. Went to the receptionist and she kindly moved me to another room. There was a lot of mould and damp in the corridors of the hotel. My new room had blood on the lampshade. Gym was a good size and had lots of machines. Restaurant was small, long wait for a table. Bar area also small, hardly any tables or chairs most people standing up. Bar food was nice, long wait though about 40 minutes.

The curtains in the bedroom were frankly disgusting, they were ripped and torn and looked dirty.

Very friendly staff throughout the Hotel, always happy to help. Breakfasts were Brilliant and set up very well with a really fantastic choice.

Great staff - Nina was especially helpful and kind. Room nice and restaurant food good. Nice facilities and comfy firm bed.

Rooms were too hot at night

The room was good apart from too hot . Slept with windows open as the radiator could not be adjusted . Shower not very warm

Our Suite was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was a little small for a suite and one of the wall lights were not working. Room was very cold when we arrived. The central heating in the room was completely turned off. We manage to get both radiators on again and there were two electric fires in the suite for added warmth. Breakfast was good. Pool was nice with a hot spa tub. Surrounding grounds were nice for a walk. We did not eat evening meal on this occasion as we went to a nearby Indian Restaurant for dinner. Would stay again. General feel of the hotel is a little tired but clean and comfortable.

Dust on the lights above mirror in bathroom. Toothpaste on the mirror. Suspect hair in the bath. Thick dust on the bead head. Heavy staining on the bathroom pipes. Over priced breakfast . greasy burger and onion rings.
