I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Owl Hotel, and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble, and they really made us feel at home throughout our stay.
The food was excellent, with a great selection and top-quality dishes that were clearly prepared with care. Every meal was thoroughly enjoyable and well presented.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing the perfect place to relax after a long day. It’s clear the team take pride in keeping everything to a high standard.
Overall, a brilliant stay with a warm, friendly atmosphere. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend The Owl Hotel to anyone looking for great service, great food, and a comfortable stay.

Both the evening meal and breakfast were only just warm which was disappointing. Room 1 was a good size but would have preferred a shower enclosure rather than a shower over the bath. Overall our stay served its purpose as an overnight stay en route to our destination, it was adequate but no more.

The heating was not working when we arrived but this was not mentioned when we checked in. It was only at about 6 o'clock when the heating was still off that we asked what was happening. They did install an electric heater which made the room warm enough later on in the evening when we returned.

The room was supposed to be a double but it would have been small even with a single bed instead. There wasn't any room to put anything at all, and it was ready for a good refurbish. We luckily managed to get our money refunded as the young lady checking us in understood and agreed with us what we had said. Luckily we managed to find somewhere else at short notice with it being out of season.
