The staff of the Ramada, were very nice and attentive nothing was too much trouble they made you feel very welcome. The hotel was very relaxing the room was big it was clean as was the bathroom. It is a place i would highly recommend. It is a very warm atmosphere so so relaxing too.

Had two nights in here, lovely place, locaction on west side of Cheltenham but I'm sure close enough for a cab to the centre. Recently changed hands and setting about renovating. The public areas are to an excellent standard, modern but cozy bar, excellent restaurant atmosphere, eat here both nights and both service and food were excellent, great choices and properly cheffed not a commercial ready meal. Breakfast was likewise solid start to the day. Bedrooms a little tired but big enough, comfortable bed, and aircon with such British weather right now. (Not sure why reviews say there isn't) I'm sure with time these will be refurbished too and the price reflected, but currently great value. Good luck, will be back next year!

We stayed here for one night on our way to Minehead and it was one of the most disappointing hotel stays we’ve had. We booked this hotel specifically because it advertised air-conditioned rooms. On arrival, we were greeted by a sign saying the hotel was under refurbishment and there was no air conditioning. This was never mentioned when we booked. In 28°C weather, the room was unbearably hot and the fan provided did very little. The smell of fresh paint throughout the hotel also gave me a headache. The shower was dreadful. The water pressure was so poor I couldn’t rinse the shampoo from my hair, and turning the temperature down reduced the flow to a trickle. Reception offered us the shower in the room next door, but this wasn’t practical. My husband has mobility issues and the alternative shower was over a bath, making it unsuitable for him. To make matters worse, when we pulled out the sofa bed for our daughter, there were no pillows in the room. We had to borrow them from the neighbouring room ourselves. The staff were polite, but this doesn’t make up for a hotel that wasn’t as advertised. No air conditioning, refurbishment with no warning, an almost unusable shower and an unprepared family room made for a very poor experience. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

You get what you pay for at the end of the day. No one on reception when we arrived. She did turn up eventually. Had dinner in bar at ,8.45 pm and we were only ones there. 4 members of staff behind bar. One was polite. Rest were on their phones. Building is tired and dated. There's a sign in room saying building is being renovated but I feelthis should be flagged when booking. Air con out of action Big black hair in the bed. Bathroom dated. Food was good and nicely presented. We were only people in breakfast room. Orange juice is awful ......sweet and watery but breakfast was ok. Convenient for M5. Like I said you get what you pay for 😬

The staff were excellent and we had a good meal in the evening the general area had obviously been updated but the bedroom's were quite dated the air con didn't work and the room was very hot We were a family group staying in the area for a wedding our TV was fine but in some rooms it didn't work and wi fi was hit and miss. All in all it was an ok stay for a couple of nights but I wouldn't want to stay any longer

Avoid this place! Cheap for a reason There was no food available as the restaurant was closed for refurbishment (without any prior warning) there was no hot water in my room (seems common now I’ve read other reviews) for most of the time when there was the shower was unusable as it was so hot. The WiFi kept dropping out. Staff were unhelpful about my issues. Thank god it was 1 night, back to IHG for me
