Staff are amazing but hotel desperately needs refurbishing. Room had terrible musty damp smell, no central heating just hard wired Dyson electric fan heater. Surely this isn’t safe being on 20 hours a day and only domestic version? Bathroom in a real state. Roast turkey dinner not cooked fresh, tasted like frozen dinner reheated. But all the staff deserve a medal for working in such poor conditions.

Very happy with the room, the service and the food. Two things kept it to a 4 star… small towels and technical hiccups at check in which delayed us. We’re just about to book again!

I thought the hotel was very spacious & the spa area was great although a little tired. I was pleased therefore to hear of the up in coming refurbishment in December 2025. I look forward to visiting the hotel once again in the near future.

The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful, however the hotel is a little “tired”. Long corridor walks to rooms wasn’t great for those with walking difficulties, the “accessible” room was quite a distance from reception. Only on checking out were we advised that there another side entrance nearer despite having contacted the hotel in advance to arrange an “accessible” room. Generally an enjoyable stay for a couple of days but would have struggled for longer.

We booked the deluxe suite as we had just got married. So our expectations were high, upon arrival when entering the room the smell of sewage we experienced was unbearable. We immediately went to reception to complain and the manager tried to resolve the issue, as this was the best suite we couldn’t be moved to no other room in the hotel so we had to wait for the issue to be resolved. When going back into the room we could smell a slight difference however the smell remained for the duration of our stay. Additionally, the tv in the bedroom of the suite didn’t work at all, leading us to have to go into the living area to watch the tv. The internet was extremely poor, bearing in mind we were meant to have a booster next to our room, we were unable to engage effectively with family and friends sending photos and videos after the wedding, leading us to have to leave the hotel in order to do so.

Can’t fault the staff - they were all very friendly. The hotel itself could be amazing but is unfortunately tired and in desperate need of modernisation. The food felt overpriced for the quality. Overall, it was okay for a bed to sleep in but probably won’t return
