What was previously a slightly shabby hotel has been renovated to a very high standard. Bedrooms and public rooms are excellent and very good value overnight stay.

1st room we were allocated was noisy because of extractor fans on the mezzanine roof just below our window and air trapped in the radiator. Allocated a 2nd room, which was much better, but some noise from the extractor fans still audible. Breakfast service ok, although a number of items not available because they had run out of stock. Dinner in the restaurant not a good experience. Extremely slow service (nearly an hour between starter and main course) and poor communication from the staff regarding delay. Portion size of fish main course extremely small for the money paid

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and efficient. Couldn't fault them. Room was perhaps a little tired, although the bathroom was good and clean. The only issue we had was on the day of checkout some horrendous drilling started above our room before 9am. We intended to stay close to our checkout time of 11am, but had to leave before 9:30am as the noise was so bad. When I spoke to reception, they without any issue took some money off our bill as compensation. Am sure they would have moved us if we were staying longer. Was happy with how this was resolved.

Well-situated hotel, deluxe room was very comfortable with very fast wifi and fabulous Elemis toiletries. The cathedral view was spectacular. The only gripe was the noise of the extractor fans at the back of the property and the room was too hot! It's a complaint I have about a lot of hotels, unfortunately.

No parking . Their own parking across the road was £10 per night. The breakfast let our stay down. The staff repeatedly got the orders wrong and the cooked breakfast was very poor quality. I don’t recommend the vegetarian breakfast. The lamps on the tables need removing as they are at eye level and you can’t see each other!

Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated. Attentive and polite staff. We had dinner in their Antlers restaurant twice and it was first class but not cheap. Central location beside the cathedral. Secure car parking.

We had a lovely stay and the hotel is gorgeous. We loved the old style bar and the decor in the rooms. There were, however, a few flaws which would be worth mentioning considering it is not a cheap hotel. Firstly, there was only one person on reception so we were queuing for a while to check in / out and there was no visible key drop. Secondly, throughout the hotel we noticed unfinished repairs and things that needed fixing such as toilet roll holder falling off the wall and a wall on the staircase covered in filler that hadn't been concealed. We booked separately as 3 couples and all three of our rooms was different and didn’t accurately reflect the prices we each paid, for example, our room cost the same as our friends but was significantly bigger with better views. Lastly, the breakfast service was really poor. We were in the breakfast room for an hour and we had to wait about 20 minutes for coffee and toast then the breakfast came and our friends coffee did not come until we were almost finished with the breakfast and their toast did not come until we had all finished breakfast so was not eaten. Staff never checked that we all had cutlery or crockery so we did have to ask a few times for an extra set of cutlery and a cup and saucer. The service was very slow and the food was average which is disappointing for £19.95 per person. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and our day in Lincoln and would like to stay there again if we got a good deal price and we loved the room.

We were delighted with our choice of hotel; excellent location, delightful room with additional heater if required, coffee machine and exceptional soft furnishings. The bar was buzzing during our stay providing a very upbeat atmosphere and, in addition, there was a bar reserved for residents. Virtually everything was spot on though I felt the service at breakfast could be much improved. This was our one disappointment; the breakfast itself was excellent but someone needs to take responsibility for ensuring the buffet breakfast items are replenished on a regular basis.
