Right from the door man to the front desk associate, all staff were very friendly, helpful & courteous. Staff at the restaurant were very welcoming too. Bell boys & housekeeping staff were more than willing to help. Apart from the amenities in a hotel, it's the essential staff (mentioned above) that make a big difference in the service satisfaction to the guest staying at any hotel. Me & my family thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day stay at Olive Downtown Kochi & will return again.

Friendly staff...from security to concierge to attendants and restaurant crew. Front desk was ok also. Always greeted by friendly smiles and hello. Didnt feel unwelcomed being a tourist. They met our requests and helped us with arrangements. We did try to cancel after a mistake in booking. Unfortunately nonrefundable and hotels.com did try to make it right but it is up to hotel to provide refund. We tried this twice with hotels.com and contacted hotel. Unfortunately hotel did not want to accommodate or entertain idea of refund or offer alternative solution. Created a bind for us but we didnt die...can always look at it like that right? The water on occassion was not warm or hot and the pillows and bed sheets had bad odor and smelt of sweat from previous occupant? I requested hotel to change and they did so promptly. Breakfast was AMAZING. On the spot Masala Dosa or Ghee Roast... fresh fruits, Indian to American to European dishes to select from. All were great in flavor and presentation. Very clean restaurant also. Rooftop patio was just ok to look from. Not sure I'd dine there due to the pollution, dust, and dirt kicked up from the junction that the hotel is dead smack located. No fault of the hotel. Location is awesome. You have everything you need a stone throws away and the area makes for great people watching.

The staff were very warm and professional.They were dedicated in giving their best.They exhibited warmth and care even from the doorman to attendants, front desk , with good spa female masseur and waiters from the food lounge.Hotel had a nice ambience and very clean.Our stay there was memorable and will def recommend this hotel to all age groups from single to families.The quality of food served was excellent as well.keep up the good job. Mr and Mrs Alakesan

Friendly, helpful staff. Good location. Room had a good view, includes fridge, plenty of storage & quiet enough to sleep. Door has a peep hole cover and a strong door bolt in addition to the lock! Please include small hand towels, hangers in cupboard. Pre-set TV channels & provide only 1 remote. No one has time to decipher TV settings.

Beautiful property and friendly staff. The only gripe I had was, we stayed on the ninth floor. The floor above was maybe the roof bar. So they either were moving heavy furniture or having noisy as heck parties deep into the night which kept my family and I awake. It wasn't ideal.

What a great hotel! Used it as a base for visiting the sights of Cochin. The hotel was not an ideal location for me but may improve once the metro system is completed as it will run right by the hotel. The room was good sized, comfortable, clean and very quiet. Never heard the incessant beeping and honking of local traffic. Nice bathroom with excellent shower. Breakfast was a decent selection of Indian and European dishes. The icing on the cake are the staff. Very friendly and always eager to please. Any problems was always sorted without any difficulties. I viewed the hotel as an oasis of tranquility in a sea of mayhem. Would get back to the hotel hot and sweaty, go up to the 10th floor and have a dip in the swimming pool before watching the sun go down. What a way to finish a day of sight seeing. The hotel was excellent value for money. Why cann't all hotels in this price range be this good !!
